A lot of adds, I’m using it now f.. ridiculous how many adds there are

      • If new movies there are more ads. Some movies I hardly had 2 ads

        • “Den of thieves “ 2018 movie 10 add stops, 2 adds per stop

Your right though so have less or no adds, overall a joke what streaming services have become imo

Aren’t you better off getting the $200 cashback and then buy your own Netflix? I haven’t checked the rates though. I signed up to the one with 20.000 velocity points and $200 credit last week.

  • Does anyone know if you switch after joining how soon do they disconnect Netflix?

    • Instant disconnect. Doesn't even carry through the billing period unfortunately since billing period is terminated within 2-3 days.

    expensive provider, terrible value

  • What happens to the 1k credit from gov, does it move to your new retailer if you change.

    • No, they transfer the any credit from your account to your bank when you leave.

    • thanks for the reminder.

      Which 1K credit?

I thought once you were signed up to AGL electricity, you could switch to the Netflix plan any time?

  • Need to mention the Netflix offer isn't the same as the non Netflix offer.

$100 less bonus + rates not as good (based on pre July call).

So more like $100 + 30 cents a day for Netflix (if still the same).

  • My streaming costs almost reached $100/month, so I just cancelled them all. Sailing the open oceans is much more satisfying

    • Paying for streaming services is so 2010s!

  • you are still paying for your Netflix, but in different ways. The plan is more expensive compare to other providers. and you can easy save 10 dollar a month by using other providers or plans.

A question for churners out there. If you electricity account is in credit e.g. due to the federal governments $1000 credit, if you churn to another provider, what happens to the credit? Is it transferred to the new provider and you start off in credit?

Apologies for saying credit so many times. :)

  • The Federal Government electricity rebate is apparently paid in August 2024 and Feb 2025 via the retailer. For those who are churning now and after August, do you have any insight on how this might work in practice? Looking to churn, but don't want to miss out on any rebate due to timing or other issues.

AGL want me to put up with their less than favourable prices and service and expect me watch ads on Netflix? That's a no from me.

      • +1

        AGL do do that.

      • and expect me watch ads on Netflix?

TBF they'll be AGL ads….. go on drink the Koolaid, it's BP ultimate flavoured.

    • They don't appreciate current customers huh😡😡

    • Not a deal, but I received the letter in QLD too.

    • How does one access the BP discount?

    • Previously I worked out this plan would only cost $1/month more than what I was paying based on about 4-5months of historical data. Not sure about current rates but worthwhile considering.

I've since churned away from AGL and don't have Netflix anymore since they cracked down on VPN signups.
