I got an email from Cygnett with what looks like a great deal. If you buy their 30,000 mAh power bnk, you'll get a 20,000 mAh white power bank for free. Seemingly only the white version is free though.

      Sorry, I'm new to this

    100$ for 2 powerbanks 15.5 W max?

    not a good deal

    • Agree that specs are average.

However can confirm that cygnett is a very reliable brand, have never had one die on me, have 1 that has easily done over a thousands charge cycles and its still going like it was brand new

The ozb community is tough but fair but tough!

    • +3

      But fair

      • Careful we could end up in an oscillating tbf loop!

The 30000mAh one says it's not approved for air travel (it's over 100Wh)

    • +2

That's half true. It's not approved without permission since it's between 100Wh-160Wh. For Virgin you tell them at check in and for Qantas/Jetstar you fill out a form that's valid for 12 months.

    • Best to keep under 27000mAh. They are too big and heavy anyway over 20000mAh I've found, if you are only taking carryon.

I'd want two way PD charging at least.

  • +1

    Bodgy output tbh.

  • +1

A hundred dollars, and I only get 5V out? Sell your crap elsewhere please.

  • I was wondering what the catch was and there that was: 15.5W output is way too low.

  • +1

    Too expensive for the output…

  • +1

Not a good deal for the price / specs. Fail.

  • The welcome 15% off code they sent does not work with this deal.. Any other codes. Thanks

  • This would take like days to fully charge.

  • 30,000mah is such a dumb capacity. Not massive and just a little over air safe. Make it 50,000 if it's going to be over.

    • Not everyone is going to join the mile high club.

      • Honestly, I'd probably just break something

        • And besides, first class have power points to charge your devices. Even the poor ozbargainers who fly business class normally get a power point.

          • @shoppe: Whn I fly my revens generate wind power to charge my devices.

          • +1

@shoppe: even us peasent OzBargainers flying economy also have power outlet on airlines. I have flown with Int. across multiple airline with power outlet.

            • @Fasian: Shhh! The government might hear you, they prefer the poor to have no power.

  • If I'm going to be hauling around a 20,000+ power bank, it better charge my laptop as well. OP appreciate the post but hard pass for me.

  • saw this deal, but such low output with all the the new gen devices requiring 25W + for fast charging.
