Well worth it, DOTT is a fantastic remaster.

Agree. The original was riveting on its own, the remaster is extra quality

Day of the Tentacle is a great point n click game. Very funny.

Omg I knew you had good taste!! Please also tell me you think curse of monkey island was best monkey island and also deserves a remaster.

Unfortunately I never played monkey island (but my wife did as a kid and she loved it). I played DoTT, Full Throttle and Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis. It just means I can enjoy monkey island for the 1st time as an adult 😁

I have it on gog and steam , it doesn’t play in hd, and forces low res… but the humour still as good as i remember it in like.. 2001 (?) I think when I played it first. The ending third of the game is kinda draggy though.

  • I remember i can download and play this game free long

Ghee, since there's been so many game franchises turned into movies, I wish they'd make a Half-Life movie.

Is it just going to be 8-10 hours of no dialogue from Gordon though?

    • Still kind of bummed that Bioshock movie never happened. It probably wouldn't be that good but it's still something that I can somewhat relate to Esther than nothing.

Is this the talkie verison? Just upgraded to a shiny new sound blaster 16 and would love to take advantage of the stereo capabilities

Not the kind of tentacle game I'm used to.

If your kids have the patience for DOTT, then may I suggest Grim Fandango ?

My partner at the time who, being unimpressed with the games I was playing at the time (M-m-m-monster Kill !; IYKYK), was enthralled when I played something a bit more inclusive.

So much so, she and her young boy would play for hours having tons of fun. Not too difficult, and plenty to keep both adult and child entertained for hours.

What a game. And it's on sale now too at Steam

    • that puzzle with the ticket machine, even to this day i still need to look up the answer because i don't get it :(

      • That one stumped me too !

FYI for anyone who doesn't know, what you're buying is a renowned 1993 graphic adventure game.

2c more on GoG for Dott as well if you prefer a DRM free option.

  • I think my playthough of dott on my uncles cd-rom computer took about 20hrs when I was 10. Few years ago I set up scummvm on my wii and finished it in like 30mins. Still dott is the goat point and click imo.

Isn't maniac mansion included inside the game on that arcade machine? Doesn't count if you don't finish that too

  • For anyone with recent Anbernic RG35XX etc, you can use Portmaster to play Half-Life (and the expansions), but you’ll need the game data files… worth the $6 to get the bundle here to do that I reckon!
