Service uses parts of Telstra’s 3G and 4G network.

the ones which may not work properly

  • Konec are fine, I have used them before… just a Telstra wholesale MVNO. Coverage and speeds were fine in Perth metro.

    • It looks like a clearance sale and will no longer sell in any physical store.

      • It's either that, or just a marketing boost to try and attract as many people as possible.

Their target market would not be the SIM sluts of Ozbargain but hey, we're here and $5 is cheap

I can’t activate boosts except over chat even if I get a starter pack. Wonder how this will go

  • Any idea of expiry of sims

I bought some on Konec, there is no expiry date on the package.

      • I picked up a couple from Big-W Tuggeranong today. On the back of the pack it says, "This Konec SIM expires 2 years from the manufacturing date printed on this packaging". For the life of me though, I can't see a manufacturing date (or any date) printed anywhere on the packaging.

        • I emailed Konec about this, and it seems that some starter packs missed having the manufacturing date printed on them. In this case, the expiry is 31/7/25.

      Not everything is free ….

  • Deals seems to have ended. Back to $35.
