Great deal on metal Casioak, you can also get aftermarket bracelet kit to convert it into $700 Gmb2100 casioak though the watch is beautiful as it is and is my daily since last few weeks

    • According to a bunch of posts, most people here are on over $200K, so this one shouldn't be a problem.

Says $349 now. Either way I'd recommend getting a solar one with Bluetooth and a positive display and different colour indicies and arms, silver on silver doesn't look easy to read (GA-B2100, I've got the yellow one).

    Under $190

PS. You can get metal kits for the case too I thought, but I don't mind the idea of these. I'd leave it in black rubber strap to break up the colours and save weight though, it will never be an AP ha.

I was considering a second-hand one and replacing the case but looking on FB and Cash Converters, they're charging just as much as a new one on sale.

  • Do the earth tone casioaks (GA2110ET) still go on sale these days? Been waiting for the grey (GA2110ET-8A) to go down, but lowest I can find is $199, which is a bit too large of a jump over the base model colourways

Not sure how they can justify this price in this day and age for an analog watch.

  • To anyone heading to Japan soon I was able to pick up the metal Casioak (https://amzn.asia/d/0gAfeQGN) for~$450 aud.

    Best bargain of my life.

    • That is a great price. They have been on sale for aus stock for about $650 but $450 is a bargain (and tbh, what it should be sold for)

      • Yeah I dont mind the metal square in silver, no way I'd pay 650-800 or whatever they are.

        • You can see in my image below that the silver metal square is ~$550 in Japan.

Can probably find it cheaper if you look around.

          • @mg_k: Ah nice. A mate is in Japan, but not coming back this way. I think it may be a bit big on 6.5 in wrist anyway but Under 450 be ok. I think the GMWB5000.

            • @G-rig: The sqaure feels and looks quite a bit smaller than the Casioak. I have both and the squre is fast becoming my fav…

What you should be more concern about is the weight increase…

              • @mg_k: Yes it would be, both nice and thin in the normal models and as big as I want. The metal on bracelets do sit out a bit more .

Yeah no doubt, be pretty heavy and you would want to throw it around or drop/knock it (defeats the purpose haha). They look cool though.

    • Which shop did you go to?

I bought it from one of the Joshin store in Osaka about 2 months ago.

Think I got lucky thou as it was 40% off at the time - https://imgur.com/a/Vwu6XUN

46800 yen is actually $430 AUD at today's rate - BARGAIN!

    • Wonder what the difference is between the metal Casioak and the G Steel GSTB500BD.
