  • I give these to my dog, that is a brilliant price with cashback

    • How many do you give to your dog?

I’ve been buying oil in a dispenser bottle for my dog but it’s a bit expensive

22kg Staffy X gets one capsule a day because his dry food also includes some fish oil already

      • Our vet suggested giving the human capsules. I just stick the capsules in his wet food and he loves it

    • Why are you giving your dog fish oil?

      • +2

It’s great for their heart, coat and skin, some evidence suggests it’s good for allergies and joints

My Staffy is 11 in August, still runs around like a 2 year old every day, very muscly and no sign of ligament troubles according to the vet

    • Our dog gets the blackmores ones. I figure he will enjoy the ones WITH odour more ;)

Vet actually recommended it, he gets 4 capsules a day

      • I give mine the ones that are cheapest when I need more aha
I don’t need them just yet, but at this price it’s impossible to wait

  • No click and collect, free delivery min spend $50

It rates pretty poorly on the Aus fish oil reddit thread - only because it has very high levels of the negative tests (above most voluntary thresholds):
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Supplements/s/8gX2rFgZKc

In that same pdf, Swisse 4x rates fairly low on those same tests, and also is in the best ratio spot on the final graph (effectiveness vs cost from what I can tell). Googled it, and ChemWarehouse have it on sale too!

Not advocating for it, and its obviously less capsules, but had read about how much oxidisation kills any benefits these capsules have, which is what the report on that report covers.

Turns out the expire date on these is September this year.
At lease it was in the store I went to pick up at.

    • Opps, then I will cancel my click and collect order. I will call them and tell if it is Sep, I want to cancel it.

      • Yeah bit of a bummer! I ended up buying some half price Blackmores from CWH instead, not as good as this deal would have been.

  • Been seeing recent fish oil investigations into possibly damaging heart . Not sure youtube. After all these years dunno . Supplement frenzy maybe uncovered. What's next
