  • Showing $40 for me and code doesn’t work

    • Doesn't work

    • +4

      Code should work now.

    • Same, but I think that's explained above. It's not live yet. Unfortunately there's no indication of when it will be live.

      • It's live now

        • It is, but when I selected Paypal it wouldn't allow the code to be used. Eventually it did. Something is a bit funny with the website, might be excessive load etc.

  • Worked fine for me. Also, their feedback is horrible. It it was an individual seller I would have avoided.

Have you seen Samsung AU eBay Store; it's 90.6% - which I guess is justified with Samsung poor customer service.

    • I was actually looking at Temu sneakers this morning, just for some comfy type ones for flying, then I saw this deal. Marginally more expensive but I guess slightly more trusted seller.

    • +2

I think it is common for big corporations to have lower rating on ebay. I think fewer people tend to give them positive feedback when they are happy compared to smaller sellers.
So maybe similar negative feedback per sale ratio as sellers with 99% rating but just less positive feedback per sale.

Nice, these look like they can pass for work shoes for those working in IT 😂

    • +1

      My thoughts exactly!

    • +4

I got a pair for my priest. He wears these under his robes (not that I would know of course).

      • +7

What goes on under the robes, stays under the robes

      • Oh boy! Clearly you've been there.

    • +2

You just reminded me I'm due to replace my previous black sneakers for work! 😁

      • +4

Your user name implies that you have 3 year old New Balance 990 sneakers that are still perfectly white despite being worn everyday.

        • +3

          😂
Its the username I use when my kids say "Dad, come play XYZ on Roblox with us!!". lol

  • $40 without eBay plus, still decent

    • +5

You can get a 1mo sub to ebay plus for $5, so even if you don't have the membership, you can sign up on the spot and bring it to $35.

      • A few months back you could get 12 months eBay Plus for $10

      • I’ve got eBay plus but no generic codes come up for me, normally there’s that $5 off 1 item each month code you get too 😳

  • +6

That's about all they're worth. Low quality cheap plastic

    • Yep.

Thanks to OZbargain I have a cupboard full of these NQR type runners and I am currently retesting them for the 3rd time…

Then, throwing them into the clothing bin, sorry to whoever receives these next!

  • Worked for me. Thanks OP :)

  • Not working

    • +2

Yes I have a pair and can confirm, they don't work

  • Got a pair cheers!

  • Code works …just ordered one …thanks

  • +5

Ordered and returned in a previous deal. Sizing is small and very narrow. I ordered in the same size as another model I had for years and these weren't even close to fitting.

  • damn….. dont want to spend money on ebay plus…..

  • Code is working for me but no size…😒😂

  • Thanks

  • Yay they had my size, ordered for $30 😃

  • +1

Still wearing the exact same pair from the last deal… Ok shoes for the price

  • Got one thank you.

  • +3

They're my dog walking shoes. My dog has a Pavlovian response whenever I get them off the shoe rack!

    • Same, every morning for about three years and I've finally blown them out

    • Haha they're my dog walking shoes too!.

At this price point I really don't care if I step into a massive patch of dog poop down at the dog park in them.

  • Got size 10us (43!)

    Yes!!

  • Great shoes for using at the gym, probably not suitable for wearing out and about, though.

Edit: "Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order." Maybe they pulled the code? Anybody else getting the same error on checkout?

  • +1

damn, would have been nice to get some value out of this EBP membership, but code no longer works.

  • +3

"Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order."

    Should make nice garden shoes

    • +3

I think petunias growing out of them will really pop against the black. Great idea

  • +1

I've been getting these $30 ones yearly at this point, lasts just long enough before the next sale and its better value in the long-term than buying 1 "good pair" yearly at rrp. The soles usually start slipping within 6 months so they're fine for walking, but won't cut it for serious running.

  • Seems like it's expired :( "Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order."

  • I have a pair of these. Wouldn’t recommend for any sports activities.

    • was thinking of purchasing for commute to work. Can you elaborate why you would not recommend?

      • +4

Can you elaborate why you would not recommend?

Aldi had something similar last week, at about this price point. Sneakers like this have very little arch and ankle support: they provide very little cushioning, thereby transferring contact impacts directly into the ankle and knee. The materials are low quality and perish quickly. Shoes like this tend to use glue and heat bonding rather than stitching: that fabric glue is thin and weak, and the bond is highly susceptible to temperature fluctuations (i.e. falls apart when it gets hot).

They look like running shoes, but they aren't.

        • | very little arch and ankle support

This is very dependent on the type of activity, and the individual. We evolved without shoes (and hence no arch or ankle support). A podiatrist can advise if you need arch support, but most people don't. Any cushioning a shoe provides is tiny compared to decelerating by using your foot with a toe-first landing.

But yes, they are shit shoes, will die quickly.

  • Code does not work

    • I wonder what the giant red bannered EXPIRED tag mean next to the heading…

      • +2

Code stopped working for me before the banner was there.

        • +1

Same here and after I signed up for Plus. gg.

  • good deal for $40?

    • Yes

  • 707 sold in last 24h o_O?

  • +3

Got some a while back for $40 or so, not even worth that. Look cheap and feel even cheaper.

    • But even so do you like wearing it or not? Lol

  • Got the Australia Post Shipping notification & Tracking info today.

  • +2

Mine were delivered this morning. Better than expected (based on the comments). Pretty comfy.

    • Mine too - but they squeak when walking on floorboards or tiles! urgh

      • Same experience as you, walked around on floorboards and they squeak haha I feel like it'll eventually stop since the sole is brand new.

  • My arrived today I am already wearing them since this afternoon! Awesome,

I have tried walking on my floor tiles and mine don't squeak.

  • Received today, wasn't expecting much but they seem decently constructed & are very comfy. I wouldn't run trails in them (not that I could, being a FC lmao) but perfectly fine for casual wearing or light exercise. $30 delivered is an outstanding deal!

  • +1

In no way should these be used for running (i tried). Decent for a walk around the shops in your active wear. Very slippy when on wet surfaces.
