Can this be wall mounted upside down?

    • Why would you want to do this? What country is Esatto from?

        Can this be wall mounted

        Save space

        upside down?

        Short people

        • +1

          Why not mount it sideways?

          • +2

            @Mondorock: Space.

Washer and dryer are often sharing the same footprint space.
Washer is always portrait, makes little sense to mount the dryer landscape above where a washer is.

            Back to original question though:

            Weight (kg): 41 kg
Wall Mounting Note: This product cannot be wall mounted.

            and

            What country is Esatto from?

Designed in Australia but not sure where each model is built.

            • @MorriJ: Yes but if the washer is upright, the drying upside down would look equally as odd as a landscape dryer.

I've never seen anyone wall mounting a heat pump dryer. But I think you can stack on a washing machine.

    • Don't think so if it's the same as mine it has uneven back where you can plum in the drain hose

      • Do you need to use the drain hose? The user guide seems to say it is needed but I saw an article by Samsung on one of their heat pump dryers and it stated that the water tank can be use in lieu of the drain hose

        • +2

Top left is the pull out tank

        • +2

Most of them can do either way and come with a kit to convert from using the water tank to a drain hose. Just check the instructions for specific model. My is Solt looking pretty much the same as this one so I guess it is just a rebadge.

No. Heat pump dryers are very heavy you can't mount them but you can stack yours onto your washing machine.

      • Wouldn't it shake hard to damage the machine overtime? How safe is it to simply place it on top of washer?

        • +3

Dryer doesnt shake much at all. The washing machine does but not a concern. They are designed to allow you to stack them. There are stacking kits available for you to buy if you like, or you can just buy 4 rubber mats from Bunnings for a few dollars then put them under the legs of the dryer.

This is what I got and going strong over 4 years already, never moved an inch.

I have mine mounted on top of my washing machine. Just gotta use a mounting frame or rubber anti-vibration mat (mine is the https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/product/appliance-washer…).

Yes it does vibrate but has always stayed in the same position

What's the difference between this and the EHPD80 (now discontinued)?

    • Was told by Appliances Online eBay support that EHPD80 is the previous model compared to EHPD800-W. Couldn't find much differences though.

Install this outside in summer and pump the cold air from the heat exchanger inside.

    • +2

Sorry to rain on your free aircon parade, but the cold side of the heat pump is used to condense water from the hot humid air, so no actual cold air exits the dryer.

      • +1

I can relate to the "hot air only" design

  • Wonder if it can be stacked on top of my samsung WW85T3040WW

  • +1

If you aren’t sure about whether it can be stacked on your washing machine, it can be mounted on a Britec dryer stand.

    Coming up as $681

  • I've got this machine - can anyone confirm if the drain hose is specific to this brand or if I can get a generic non-Esatto branded one?
