Thry have battery life than galaxy wathes or pretty much same?

    • +22

      Joe Biden, is that you?

    • pixel watch 2 is better than gw, pixel watch 1 is a lot worse.

    • I heard Pixel watch battery is better than Galaxy watches. but probably talking about extra hours not days.

also Pixel Watch 2 battery life is meant to be better than Pixel watch 1, but again only by few hours.

maybe jumping from used Galaxy watch to Pixel watch 2 using all the same settings will get you almost 10 extra hours total or something though I dunno check reviews.

      • I can consistently get just under 2 days out of my pw2 and 3.5 days out of my galaxy watch 5 pro.

original pw1 and my gw active2 barely hit 18 hours.

        • thanks for your comparison of PW2 and Galaxy watch. seems to be the opposite of what I was hearing.

but just did some searching and realised why. Galaxy watch 5 pro seems to have a big 590mAh battery and 80 hours claimed battery life.

I think the comparisons I was seeing were for the normal Galaxy watch 4 or 5. which is what I think cybermurning has based on their previous comments. and a lot of users saying they would struggle to squeeze past 24 hours (but probably with everything turned on).

Got one from the OW deal for $260.30. Would recommend. Good sleep tracking, battery at first wasn't great however lasts at least 24 hours from 20-80%. All features on except AOD.

    • +1

Yup, same experience, about 60% a day with sleep tracking, charging while I shower and get ready each morning.

Good price for PW2. Note new model coming out in 2 months and will have larger PW3 if anyone is keen for that (I am).

    • I am HODLing for this, however not sure it is going to be much better features or battery wise. I will wait and hope tho.

      • same, the PW1/2 are just too small for my sausage fingers

    celluar doesn't work with Vodafone.

    • +18

Good thing these watches are WiFi only.

      • -2

Lol should have included celluar "version" … my comment was towards the link to "all watches" that includes the cellular version… which may have someone purchase from (I did from a similar previous deals - thinking the extra $$ is worth having celluar without the phone nearby) only to find out it doesn't support vodafone.. :((

  • Bought the P1 recently for similar, can recommend

I've got a TicWatch Pro 5 eariler this year, gotta say having multi day battery life is a blessing for a smart watch.

Fully understand that TicWatch sucks at providing timely updates, but oh well Wear OS 3 is still quite useable for the time being, and the hardware is good, can't win everything all at once.

    • Agree, shame they stopped LTE models. So Purchaed used galaxy watch 5 pro lte for $200 from market place. Can't complain as i too get multi day battery life.

Will upgrade to watch 7 ultra next year once they go cheap on market place again 😬

  • Bought a p1 last year. Awesome watch.
Can only imagine the p2 would be even better.

    • +1

      Awesome watch.

      What is it awesome at?

    • +1

as an owner of both, PW2 is pretty much the same but with satisfactory battery life and faster charging. It was worth the upgrade.

  • -3

And one of these and didn't think it was worth the money so sold it. At $260 it seems worth it though, might buy one again. Naaah

Just bought a P2. Thank you!

Had p2 for bit more then a week now. Worth it and battery charges quickly. Mine came with 6 months fitbit pro.

    • I had the PW1 and it also came with 6 months Fitbit Premium. Got the 2 and same thing. Only problem is I upgrade annually so I only get 6 months free. I don't want to pay for the remaining 6 months ;-)

  • Not even mad that I paid $20 more for the PW2 5 weeks ago, it's been great.

  • Bought a P2 a few weeks ago, its a massive upgrade over Galaxy watch 4. Overall it feels and looks lot more premium than galaxy series. Heart rate and sleep tracking is spot on as well

    • I have GW4 too.
How is the battery life comparison?
      Is PW2 less bulky?

      • Battery life is heaps better than G4. It is slightly bulkier than G4. I still use the G4 when I am working behind the bar coz the pw2 is prone to scratches becoz of its design

For anyone that doesn't like the look of this watch - check the spigen rugged armor pro pixel watch case. It's for pixel 1 but fits the pixel 2 no issues (the crown sits sligthly lower but still usable). I got it and can't see myself using the watch without it.

    • For anyone that doesn't like the look of this watch - check the spigen rugged armor pro pixel watch case

I know you said "doesn't like the look" but yeah that case is a very chunky bulky style. I actually like how the pixel watch looks .

for anyone else who prefers the clean shape of the watch, look at the Spigen Thin fit case. looks more thin and minimal while still providing some protection. https://www.amazon.com.au/SPIGEN-Designed-Google-Pixel-Watch…

  • Worth attempting a price match @ Officeworks, or do you think they won't honour it?

    • +1

      They won't

  • sigh, just paid 287 at OW

    • Unless you've opened it, you can return it.

  • Have been using it for a few weeks and plan to switch back to Garmin 945 or upgraded version with better sensors, battery life is biggest pain point for me.

  • I do not really care about other smart features but I want the accuracy of the heart rate sensor in Pixel 2. Could anyone please tell me about a cheaper option with the same sensor?
