Be aware that this camera can only be used after it has been activated in a DJI app. The app is not listed in the Google store, so you have to install it manually. It's a bit sketchy. The camera will not work unless it has been activated.

Like it was already mentioned, you can only activate it after download the Android app from their website due to Google requirements, Apple Store does have the app.
It is far to mention that this is a problem only because this is a Chinese brand, if it was an US or EU brand nobody would mention anything about it.
I have a GrapheneOS phone and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary, ESET Security Essential didn't detect anything either so again, all of this because it is a Chinese brand.
After the activation, I have never used the app again. I have microSD readers which I prefer, I don't personally like mobile apps in general anyway.
POSITIVE
On a positive note, this camera is a blast, its battery is a blast.
I bought it to replace my Gopro Hero 5 Black that cannot hold battery for sh1t
Also, it allows you to manually set all the settings such as white balance, ISO, exposure, you name it to have the best quality ever.
I have it mounted on top of my motorcycle helmet, set to 1080p25fps, it can easily pick-up cars' plate with extreme high details.
Its vibration cancellation is heaven.
I tested it last night during my rides and holy smokes, I can do some minor improvement but the quality of the recordings are solid.
MUST HAVE
I got the adventure combo, totally worth for the extra batteries and extras.
I have glass protector on all screens and lens, also, I using a metal protective frame instead of the stock one since it doesn't fit with glass protection and the metal one looks so much more bad a55 without restricting anything.

anygood for motorsports? had an insta 360 x3 but wasn't impressed with the video quality and low-light performance.
