    I've had a few branded USB-C docks burn out and I personally wouldn't trust a generic one with charging

      Have you ruled out your charger? If it were multiple hubs in a short time with the same charger that would be a worry.

      A lot of brand hubs are just rebadges of each other. Satechi was caught doing generic rebadging alongside heaps of other big players. There's videos on it.

    Looks worth a try. Better than the usual 4K@30Hz HDMI and looks like better speed USB A ports with a working USB C port, which suits my needs. If it works well and is reliable.

    I thought I'd pronounce it "a genie".

    Does anyone know one with USB C which has video out + charging. Basically for a Samsung Dex setup as below.
    - hub connects to phone
    - external screen connects to hub via USB C for both video and power
    -hub is powered via USB C which powers both phone/laptop and external screen

    I just returned an ugreen power delivery dock to amazon as its usb-c connector is always playing up whem connected to my ipad or notebook. Kept become disconnected.

    Which particular dock and model would u guys recommend?
