    Does it come with Roadworthy?

    • Dont need it with the 250w motor

Note that the seat height isn't adjustable. For very tall people this might be a problem.

It's also 40KG, something to take into account when calculating the range.

    dayymm, she urgg-lee

True. However, due to their practicality, they're everywhere around my local in QLD. They are taking over electric scooters because they are safer, more comfortable, and you can fit two friends on the back…maybe three. QLD is still the wild west, and so many people don't even wear a helmet.

      • -1

Yep, cops are too busy with DV (organisational priority) and just general calls for service to bother with helmet enforcement, or vehicle roadworthiness. Every third car has a busted headlight or brake light.

        • +2

And incorrectly/purposely install headlamp that were too high and blind vehicle in front and oncoming traffic. This is mostly on ute and 4x4, totally inconsiderate and dangerous.

Neighbour bought one last time. Looked like a monkey with knees pedaling up to his chin, Totally uncomfortable 'riding' position for anyone over 180cm tall. Stupid adult toy.

I'd ride it for $499 - use the 50% off coupon HYPRBLE.

  • For $999 at ALDI, I got a great mid-drive eMTB. Thanks to OzB, and loving it.

    But this bike? Utter garbage.

  • +2

Definitely ugly, had to check for myself thought people were greatly exaggerating

  • +1

These didnt sell at our local last time. Big stack of boxes marked down and Im not sure anyone bought them. They probably got stored somewhere for this "sale"

  • +1

There's a bunch of eBikes in that style these days. I don't think they're ugly, just different.

    • +3

I think I prefer the onion on my belt. Which is also the style these days

      • +1

Make sure you charge and store it outdoors, never leave the charger plugged in.

    250W…..
I think my electric whipper snipper has double the power.

Fat-bottomed girls are going to struggle up them hills.

  • "while stocks last".

  • This went from $1200 to $1000 to $800 last time they sold it, it's kinda fun but Abit underpowered would be more fun if you mod it a little. If anybody has worked out how to mod it let me know.

40kg for a bike is ridiculous.

15~20kg heavier compared to typical electric bikes (around 20~25kg) might not seem like that much more, it does make a difference in how much extra energy it expends just to get up to speed on a flat surface, never mind going uphill. That extra weight also means additional wear on the tires and brakes, as well as more inertia to fight against if you need to make a sudden stop.

Not including shipping, right now you can get the Valk Shuttle 5 for the same price, or the HIMO C30R for $949.

    • Yeah, the HIMO C30R is better in every way and cheaper while available for $949.

    • Just typical of the mindset that it's about the image, not the quality.

  • +1

cant wait to see how many house fires these start

  • Looks like a Deltek Brick7
    .

    • Back to the future - YES that image comes roaring back. Deltek with lawnmower engine replaced with electric version… I had a Deckson way way back then with DIY lawnmower engine. Thanks for the memories Nugs !

  • Castle Towers, Sydney have these on clearance right now for $659.

    3 in stock.

    • Damn 45% off! Nice spot

  • This is a terrible eBike for many reasons.

    1. Under-powered motor for the weight of the bike, with likely no way to derestrict it.
    2. 36V is a very old standard for ebikes, and 48V or 52V is the new minimum standard with improved power, capacity and storage.
    3. Mechanical disk brakes are not as strong as hydraulic disk brakes, which are much safer on a motorised device (even one as weak as this).
    4. There are better options out there for a little more money. This abomination is not a good value buy.
