  • Heads up, listed GPU in the body as 4070 Super

    • +1

      Thanks! Just revised.

Good deal, but Gigabyte slapping a wifi card in the m2 slot and calling it a wifi motherboard. lol

Since you just bumped this deal by $100 at least offer the MSI Gaming Wifi board by default.

    • +13

We will upgrade motherboard to Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus WiFi which has 4 ram slots and 2 NVME Slots.

    • IMO, this is much better than the other WiFi motherboards, since you can upgrade the WiFi module inside whenever you want, or even repurpose that module if and when the motherboard goes bad.
And it functions as an M.2 slot, giving you more room for expansion (i.e. Coral TPU, another Ethernet NIC, etc.).
I wish more motherboard manufacturers did this with their boards.

      • All wifi motherboard use a m.2 slot for the wifi card, just in a different key / pinout, but same pins.

You can plug a 2230 ssd or a gpu in x4 mode with a adapter into the wifi card slot on any motherboard if you want, or slot in a ax210 or something.

        • +1

Not necessarily, most WiFi boards have their modules soldered on to the motherboard with no easy way to replace them.

  • what kind of power is Gala

  • +6

Looks like the price got bumped from $2799 to $2899

    • That is a inverted discount.

  • I think ddr 6000 would do

  • Deal for me. I paid $3300 a year ago for 7800X3D and normal 4080. I think this is a sweet spot in specs and price.

    • -6

      Cheaper to build your own

      • +2

Did you not see the PCPartPicker link that is in the header? That is the cost of building alone.

  • +1

Excellent value for a 4080 build. If only there were more CPU and Cooler options. Some people prefer the reliability and safety of air cooling.

    • +2

      Definitely! Adding options now.

      • Hey Gala, is there any Air Cooler option? I'd prefer air cooler for safety.

        • +1

Sorry for the delay, just added Deepcool AK620 Digital as an option.

  • Is there a way to add a secondary SSD option?

    • +1

Yes for sure. Add options now.

  • its a shame they didnt design that case to have the PSU behind the mobo. Would have so much cleaner imo.

    • +1

Check out their new case TK3, we will have them soon!

      • sexy :D

  • +1

The numbers in your PC part picker dont add up.

    • +1

Yep we manually add 4 fans.

  • Wish you guys posted a week sooner as I was waiting for more 7800x3d/4080S builds. In the end went with Techfast's but this also looks like a great deal!

  • Can it be picked up locally? WHat's the lead time?

    • Yes for sure. For now our leading time is 2-3 business days.

  • Just an update for folks here:

Purchased the Dominator on the website, between selecting upgrades and checkout - the website reset all my selections and charged the base price with no upgrade information SO MAKE SURE you check everything at the checkout level!

I picked up the PC same day locally and set it up this morning only to find USB C and RGB on CPU cooler not working (not that I'll have it enabled anyway) + the MOBO being the default one - not the upgraded one (again, the option rest before payment and I wasn't charged the upgrade price).

I gave the guys a call and they said they'll ring me back with details on next steps. The person on the phone was courteous and I am sure the issue will be resolved.

Also noting that I had a request for same day pickup so probably the testing wasn't as thorough, can't put the USB C issues and the cooler issues on them for now given my express pickup request.

I'll keep you guys posted as a final review!

    • Hi mate,

Apologies for all the issues you have. It was in a rush on a Saturday but it's definitely not an excuse. The upgrade motherboard was only added yesterday to the listing so the technician hasn't been informed and the new motherboard is arriving tomorrow. For the USB C port as the motherboard doesn't have an onboard USB C plug, the front C port won't be working unless you upgrade the motherboard to the MSI or Aorus one. Sorry we should have mentioned it earlier in the post. The RGB on the cooler should be a setting issue or the plug might fall off. We will get back to work tomorrow, if you are close by feel free to bring it in and then we can have the motherboard replaced and the RGB issue fixed.

      Cheers,
      GalaPower

      • Absolutely mate, as I said - I have no issues with your service. I am sure this will be sorted. I might drop by today if that's okay otherwise tomorrow is fine too. Please let me know what time works the best.

Again, thanks for your prompt response.

USB C is crucial to me and that's why I selected the upgraded mobo. All good, I can pay on the spot and get the upgrade sorted. Thanks again for your response!

      • Hi

Considering this but wanted to check the USB-C header situation. Is this the coorect specs page for the mobo, https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650M-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI-…. It has 1 x USB Type-C® header, with USB 3.2 Gen 1 support in the specs?

        Cheers

        • Hi mate yes that's the one! Didn't realize it got the header! Thought it was same with the non-plus one. In this case, there won't be any issue with the front usb c port.

  • This build looks insanely good, will you be discounting any of your other builds for EOFY?

    • Yes we are considering a 5700x + 4070 super or 14600KF/14700KF + 4080 super build for the tax time.

      • When are you looking at dropping these? Keen to put something through by midnight.

    • Is this build by TF not better value? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/846752

      • +1

They are both fine, Gala has a larger cooler, faster RAM and known componets, Tech's is a bit cheaper.

Shopping around for something with this spec myself at the monent and learning towards Gala as I'm in Melbourne.
