    I get the feeling they will phase out Foxtel Now, hence all the apps for different segments of their market, one for (right-winged) news, one for lifestyle, one for sport, etc etc
    Although giving away free boxes does look desperate.
    I would grab one, but I don't want more crap underneath my TV.

    There is no code … They check the Phone number or Email for previous customers… which are currently NOT on the BINGE, Kayo, Flash, or Lifestyle account.
    Took me a while because I am currently with Kayo, so I just used another account/mobile that's currently not active on those services and got the freebies.

    you could use someone mobile… but then you'll need to have the 2FA (2 factors authentication)
