If this truly is 5V 3A max, the 30W label printed below that usb-c port is pretty misleading.

    • -1

Yep, just to clarify this isn't 30w. 15w max :)

      • well hopefully it can at least put out 15W each port…
        edit: both ports at once.

      • +1

I have one of these and it lists 30W on the USB C port. It triggers "super fast charging" on my Samsung S22 which is for 25W+

      • +4

Nope, can confirm it supports 20v 1.5A (Measured with usb tester), so 30w on USB C is correct (will only do 30W on USB C if USB A is unplugged). Pretty amazing charger for the price (provided it won't catch fire).

On Bunnings page, it refers to model as "CKCG424B". Searching for this model came across this page..

    https://device.report/click-lucci-mistral-ringgrip-trader/ck…

    Outputs (USB-A): 5Vdc 3A 9Vdc 2A 12Vdc 1.5A
    Output (USB-C): 5Vdc 3A 9Vdc 3A 12Vdc 2.5A, 15Vdc 2A 20Vdc 1.5A

Looks like the USB-C port might be capable of 30w, USB A 15w

Happy to be corrected as I'm no expert.

    • The charger has the model CKCG424B printed on it and the above are the same outputs printed on actual charger.

    • Although it's stated that the USB-A port maxes out at 12V, it actually goes as high as the USB-C port.

$6 reliable? to charge a new $1000-2000 phone?

    • +13

How much do you think is acceptable? You'll be shocked to discover that many expensive charges cost far less than $6 to produce.

    • Yes it is fine. You could easily go cheaper. I have used my 12 year old HTC Desire USB charger (5v 1amp) to charge $2000 phones before no problem

Sure, but a 5W charger needs a much simpler thermal design when compared to a 30W one. Not saying that this is necessarily a fire hazard, but the comparison is not correct.

Ordered 2 separately for delivery from different stores here in WA with OnePass, just got a text telling me that unfortunately they had no stock, they've cancelled 1 of the 2 and replaced the other with this: https://www.bunnings.com.au/jackson-gan-rapid-charger-usb-c-… at the same price. Seems like a win?

    • Congrats!!🥳🥳

    • +2

Yes, you got a GaN charger from a slightly better known brand, so I'd definitely say so. Well done!

      Which store did the upgrade?

      • Ordered for delivery but was clicking through via the Balcatta store selected - it however then mentioned Armadale in the orders page and the SMS came from their Armadale store

    • just asking which shop did you order from?

"Charge 2 x Devises at Once"

Can we trust a brand that doesn't know the difference between Devises and Devices?

    • +9

      It's gonna be quite devicive.

  • Can anyone confirm it support 20v 1.5a pd changing?

    • Nevermind. Just checked, no stock anywhere around my location.

    • -1

nope, it will only do 15watts each

Little annoying how the plugs make the charger mount horizontally rather than vertically. So you'd have to put it on the right most outlet so it doesn't block another outlet.

    • Totally agreed. I think what they're doing is putting AU pins on a product designed primarily for the US. The US straight pins could maybe fit vertically but for AU pins to fit vertically, they would need to change the design and maybe add extra plastic.

      Just my 2c

      • Do the ANZ wiring rules allow for rotating and/or folding prongs (insulated of course)? I'm jealous of the flat chargers that are available in North America.

    • 100%
I'm all for bargains, but that aspect is poo.

      • I still grabbed 2 lol

    • +1

This is incorrect. The charger doesn't block the adjacent outlet.

      Photo evidence

      • Oh true. I haven't even opened my 2 to check. It's good that it's actually quite a small form factor then.

      • Actually I can't put two next to each other on my Xiaomi powerboard. But yeah that's more Xiaomi's fault than anything.

  • Good travel charger

  • OK, ordered one as a spare.

  • OOS 🤷🏻🤦🏻

PSA: The quality of this charger is suspect. Casing melted from a short circuit and I would caution against it. (Not a safe charger).

  • Anyone buy ?
Can anyone confirm it support 20v 1.5a pd changing

    • +1

20V 1.5A is listed on the side of the charger as one of the supported PD options.

  • Got similar to this on ebay a couple years ago for $4. Still going strong. Although not so fast. These days I mainly used it to charge my surface go 2 (PD)

  • Great, my order is on the way .

  • Ordered 1 for click and collect , lets see if onepass works

So it turns out I ordered 3, it wouldn't let me order from my original store (Malaga) so I ordered what I thought was 1 from Balcatta and 1 from Joondalup. Ended up being 2 from Balcatta, 1 from Joondalup all for delivery. However these all goto Armadale which I assume is their WA Head Office. Got the SMS as above that 1 was swapped to the Jackson more expensive model, and the other was cancelled…

Just received my delivery…has 3 of the Jackson models in it. So triple win! Albeit I've confused the shit out of myself

    • I got confused too. I ordered one from Wangara because it showed only 1 in stock, so I was hoping for a substition. Then I ordered another 2 from Joondalup. I got the text messages to say they are ready for pickup, so I went to Wangara first as it's closest and they didn't have my order. I hadn't checked where the texts said to pick up, and on checking, both orders were for Joondalup pick up. I was told they sometimes transfer the order to another store if they haven't got stock. Just great. So I went to Joondalup and picked up my 2 orders, but no substitutions for me unfortunately. However I'm pretty impressed with these little Click chargers. My tests show they match their claimed specs pretty well, and in the case of the USB-A port even surpass the specs, getting right up to 20V at 1.6 Amps. I'm happy as long as they keep working.

  • I added this to a OnePass order. 3 items delivery. And they refunded my $6 and looks like they're just sending the other 2 items I ordered lol
