You should check if you do. A complete original copy of Hero Quest can fetch up to $1,000 on eBay.

go incremental, that way you savour the expansions rather than get overwhelmed!

The expansions don't really change the gameplay, they just add more content. So buy the base game and only if you get through all of that is it worth getting the expansions.
