    What's the deal?

    • +1

why did you decide to downvote and comment in this subs deal specifically instead of the other 3 or so posted today?

      just wondering.

      • +7

        Triggered…

      • +1

I hadn't scrolled down that far yet!

But truthfully didn't realise streaming additions were posted here so apologies for the neg if this is OzB tradition!

        • +1

          no worries.

you are more than welcome to downvote this deal and have an opinion.

just wondered why it wasn’t consistent. tbf my mind was going places like “hates Netflix” or “doesn’t like new movies with women in strong roles”.

you hadn’t scrolled yet that’s fair.

  • +3

"Jessica Alba" in title might help you win an OzB premium hoodie 😉

  • cool bro thanks for posting this.. makes it easier to find the new stuff

    • +1

no worries. I mean not trying to do it forever.

I literally found all these either by accident or while browsing and subbing up different services one month at a time so no real effort tbh when finding these.

  • +2

if anyone is NOT on a month of Netflix and is considering paying for a month here’s a list of movies I’ve watched during my month.

I hadn’t subbed to Netflix for over a year so keep in mind you might have seen some of these already.

afaik these are all only on Netflix since I haven’t been able to find and watch them on other services.

    • Atlas (SciFi)
    • Stowaway (Space, Sci-fi)
    • The Killer (Smart psychopath assassin)
    • Reptile (Murder, Crime)
    • Race of glory: Audi vs Lancia (Actual real cars filmed)
    • Spaceman (Sci-fi, Spider warning)
    • Pain Hustlers (Opiod epidemic)
    • Rebel Moon (Sci-fi, Meh)
    • Rebel Moon Part Two (Meh)
    • Leave the World Behind (Similar but better than Civil War imo)
    • The Yellow Birds (Iraq War)

    and going to watch:

    • The Bricklayer
    • Trigger Warning

    • • The Gray man (Action)

been out for awhile but was also pretty good NF exclusive. just has a bad title.

few more worth mentioning to fill up that month.

      • Fair Play (Suspense, Thriller)
      • Beau is afraid (Suspense? Cerebral? available on other platforms, very weird Joaquin Phoenix movie by Midsommar director)
      • 1917 (War)
      • Miss Bala (Drug War)
      • Sand Castle (Iraq War)
      • War Machine (Iraq War)

also noticed I added a lot of movies from Movies->Cerebral movies.
I guess everyone likes different movies but that’s just what I did. (never knew Cerebral was a category)

so I’m an hour into The Bricklayer and…

disappointed in the lack of scenes with Bricklaying. I thought there was going to be slow motion scenes of him bricklaying in between the brutal moments he is beating up and killing. implying bricklaying is what makes him a good secret agent.
or maybe just one scene where he’s Bricklaying after the hard part is over and the bad guys sneak up on him at home during renovation and he takes em out with the cement scraper and makes them choke on cement and bricks. 🤷‍♀️

also expecting the ending to be like “so what’s your secret how come you are so unstoppable and sigma?” and he replies “because I’m The Bricklayer.”
queue epic ending credit electric guitar beat.

    • +1

Imagine if one of the guys he's beating up asks the time and he stops for "smoko", allowing the guy to escape.

      • +1

        yeah good eye for detail.
I would just make his character smoking a cigarette in all brick laying scenes. 😂

as disappointing as Jason Statham in the mechanic, I never saw him do any oil changes or suspension upgrades

  • Bricklayer Vs Beekeeper, who wins?

    • tbh watched the trailer for Beekeeper and was instantly like nah not gonna watch that.

I dunno if it’s because seems like the trailer showed everything or it was really really cheesy.
like targets scam center, beats up everyone plants explosives and honey is an explosive quote.

I liked the Mechanic and the Mechanic Returns though with Jason Statham.

meanwhile I watched Bricklayer. some people might have done the opposite I don’t know.

      • Done the opposite? I did. Watched Beekeeper (same-o nonsense story, action is good though) and saw the trailer for Bricklayer and didn't like it and don't dig the title either.

        • sorry last second edit, added above I liked the two Mechanic movies with Jason.

  • thanks mod alvian who added the comma.

think I hit the character limit when posting. 🤣

  • Op, I think you triggered a few people…🤣

  • I keep scrolling through titles and then finally sleep or end up watching something that would trigger my wife lol

I assume you mean A24 movies.
usually very shocking and woke type movies.
weird movies about controversial stuff like how jewish people were killed in history etc.

      • I have Netflix, Disney, Prime, YouTube, and a lot of stuff sitting on media server, still I end up scrolling for an hour minimum and then give up.

She's triggered by sci-fi, not her thing. I am a sci-fi type of guy lol She can't tolerate it, for example, I tried to play Atlas and she would walk away.. 😂

        • still I end up scrolling for an hour minimum and then give up.

          might be attention span problem.

trust me I am young enough to have experienced it. used to doom scroll.
I deleted all major apps from my phone, things got better.

still even today I only login and use apps on PC (stay disconnected and more effort to use them). well I admit right now I am on phone through browser but that’s because it’s late and in bed.

          • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Same here, I put a timer on apps for 30 mins daily. After that they are blocked.. 😂

Problem is, shitty content. If I watch something really really nice, then the next thing has to be better or something. For example, the last show I really liked was Lost in Space, haven't seen any shows after that.

Last movie I kind of liked was, I don't remember, nothing stands out these days. Maybe, the The Killer and Rebel Moon and Moon Fall.

Crap movies I have recently watched

            Godzilla Minus One 😂
            Need for Speed X
Gray Man, after 15 minutes I realized I had watched it before 😂 Otherwise the movie was great for the 1st time
So 2 other movies I ended up watching again, total waste of my time.

Actually I am burning in my new speakers so don't care what shitty movie is on lol

            • @sqheaven: timer, screen time isn’t enough trust me.

delete app. computer only and log out after each use. make sure you have to log in every time you want to access. worked for me 👍

also agree with you Gray man was good (bad unappealing title though). It’s been a year since I watched, plan to watch again soon.

              • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Facebook I literally quit because no one is there. Instagram is only social media app I use, never used tiktok unless a friend sends a killer joke lol

I think I need to uninstall OzB but then I'd miss deals 😂

I look at my screen time and think to myself that this time could be been spent with kids. So that's what I am trying to do, take them to park or something daily or couple of times a week. Shopping with them in store, and maybe take them to their friends lol But, every time I do that I tell myself, this is not going to happen again because they're driving me crazy. Need to get rid of kids as well?

                • @sqheaven: Facebook is terrible (and so probably instagram as well?).

was tasked to help elderly family member who got locked out of FB because they used 2FA and didn’t know they had to restore 2FA app from cloud backup after phone issues.

I could not find any way to contact FB support to solve the issue. [email protected] email that’s mentioned on reddit just gets “email not delivered” auto response.
                  terrible for billion dollar company.
elderly member doesn’t want to send them scan copy of passport which is what FB login asks for.

maybe it’s better they can’t access FB.
