  In addition, we have updated the Uber Cash terms here to reflect that Gift Cards may no longer be used to top up Uber Cash balance. These changes will be effective from 20 June 2024.

  Its in effect from today, not sure if it will affect using Uber One benefit (from credit card) if you use Uber giftcard balance as payment

      Just checked the Balance Breakdown after adding the gift card and it still says 'Valid for Uber, Uber Eats and Postmates'.

    Has anyone else been able to switch the payment method on a past order to use an Uber gift card balance after today's changes? I did so this morning but the process still involved me choosing Uber Cash as my new payment method so I'm not sure what's going on.

      You can still do it. I just bought a GC and switched payment methods on a ride and a food order.

        Confirmed. The option says "Uber Cash" but it happily deducts if from the GC balance.

  I managed to get it purchase $20 for checking and bought for $18 and recharged completed,
  now I have $100 in my ubereats account (purchased $75 shopback offer and $5 credit for late delivery last friday (shocking 1hour 25 minutes to receive food)

  I've tried with:

  • CommBank Credit Card (failed before trying 3D Secure)
  • CommBank Debit Card (failed before trying 3DS)
  • BOQ Debit Card (failed before trying 3DS)
  • Westpac Debit Card (failed AFTER doing 3DS)

  What the hell is their problem?

      Just got off the phone with them, turns out because I tried the first two times with a CommBank credit then debit card, their system is declining all further attempts because of 'suspicious activity'

      They're also blaming CommBank for the 3DS issues which I find it hard to believe ..
