Get 1 good quality 1000 grit from Cerax or Shapton it will do so much more than these cheap stone kits.

  • I just turn s bowl up side down and slide your knife with the bottom of bowl.Works every time

  • Don't people call these whetstones anymore?

  • Just get a Global Minosharp, about $65 from eBay, and you won't look back.

Thanks for sharing @Ham Dragon. LOL, looks like I bought the last one. Do you mind explaining briefly how to use it effectively?

Top it up with water & start with the biggest wheel. Drag slowly with a slight amount of downward pressure from back to front 8-12 times, wipe clean and progress to the next wheel. Repeat the process ad nauseam. Your knives will be dangerously sharp after all 3, works on all grades of knife & blade. Enjoy, it's such a handy tool for the kitchen.

    • I've got one of them. Absolutely terrible.

  • Comments taken in. Ended up cancelling order and going with a Sharpall 162n diamond stone after watching YouTube videos from outdoors55
