8% Cashback on $100 IKEA Gift Cards @ Cashrewards

170

Hej!

Only a few hours left. Hope this might be helpful for some! (Expires midnight AWST)

Can anyone clarify the maximum $ value we can purchase and get cashback for?

If doing a kitchen renovation can we get 10 x $200 gift vouchers, receiving a total cashback of $160?

This should stack nicely with the 10% off METOD deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849680

IKEA Gift Card has spend limits in place when purchasing Gift Cards. The maximum per member spend limits are: $1.5k per day; $1.75k per week; $10k per month and $20k per year.

Thank you, I’m heading there tomorrow to pick up the oven, so this will help with a few other things I’m after :)

    • Awesome mate! Which oven you getting?
Glad it can help = )

    • It takes ~48 hours for the gift cards to validate so it might be wise to "Check the balance of your gift card" first so you don't waste time going into the store with inactive cards:
      https://www.ikea.com/au/en/customer-service/ikea-gift-cards-…
If your error message is "Please enter a valid card/pin number" then your gift card hasn't been validated yet (if you've entered the correct no's, that is; copy and paste is best for the 19-digit no.).

      • Is this up to 48 hours after purchasing or do you need to do something 48 hours before buying if you plan to use them in a week?

I got emailed my gift card within 5 minutes of placing the order.

Activation of IKEA gift cards can take up to 48 hours after purchase, but in reality, it
usually only takes at most a few hours after purchase for IKEA to activate the gift cards.

The activation process is done automatically after purchase, so there is nothing you need to do (except wait). Once the gift cards have been activated, you are free to spend them anytime up to the gift card expiry; there is no need for you to do anything else before you can partially or fully redeem the gift cards.

            @WookieMonster:

usually only takes at most a few hours after purchase for IKEA to activate the gift cards.

For Bupa Rewards Portal, activated and ready to go within a few minutes.
I usually purchase them as I am about to checkout on the IKEA website.

Why wouldn’t you go to Woolies to get 20x points

20x Everyday Rewards Points on Westfield eftpos, Webjet, IKEA, Café Choice, Gift to Dine and Hoyts Gift Cards @ Woolworths

    As per this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849959#comment-15387267

    • I have more use for $ back in my bank than Woolies points.

How are Cashrewards? After a couple of terrible experiences with Shopback I'm pretty skeptical of any cashback arrangement.

    • I've had a much more pleasant experience with cash rewards than shop-sack.

      Hoping it continues.

      • Well that's good to hear, as it happens I do need to organize a kitchen for a friend (about 4k) - So no harm in trying after all

Ah just saw expired at midnight! oh well, fingers crossed somthing else comes up in the next week lol

        • It's still valid got me in WA
          1½ hrs left

          Just remember $1.5k max

    • Wish me luck
I only got 3% cashback when my friend also purchased after me and they got 8% cashback…
      We bought the same voucher

Can anyone else see $100 IKEA gift cards still being sold at 8% cashback?

I just checked the Cashrewards website (logged out) and the Cashrewards app (logged in) and both only mention 3% cashback. All mentions of 8% cashback are gone for me.

      Expired at midnight :(

    • It said 3 hours left an hour ago (WA) but I confirm only 3% cashback left now

I think Cashrewards has forgotten that different timezones exist in Australia!

  • Those intending to use the gift cards online should be aware that you may (or may not) encounter a limit to the number of cards that can be applied at once.

Some people have had no problems using a large number of cards, but others have encountered a limit at under 10 (mine was 6).

How many gift cards can I use at Ikea online?

Made 4 purchases, 1 tracked at 8%, and three others tracked at 3%. Have contacted support, but make sure you confirm the bonus cashback!

  • Mine only tracked at 3%

I contacted support. They said it was only the $100 cards that track at 8% and $200 at 3% though I'm fairly certain it said both. Any chance you have proof?

My friend bought $1,000 of $100 cards and they all tracked at 8%

When I was editing the deal and checked the Cashrewards app, it listed 8% cashback against the $100 denomination and 3% cashback against the other denominations (and that is the reason I added $100 to the deal title at the time). Granted, I checked the Cashrewards app less than an hour before the deal expired, so I have no idea what the app would have said earlier in the day.

I also received an email from Cashrewards earlier in the day advertising this deal. To me, the email makes it clear that only the $100 denomination was eligible for 8% cashback.

      • Definitely 8% on $100 gift cards.
My friend got theirs confirmed this week at $80 on 10x gift cards

They said the same thing to me too. Quite disappointed actually.

I definitely don’t remember seeing the 8% being limited to $100 denominations, so I basically missed out when I purchased $1470 worth of gift cards.

Super regretting not going with the Woolies deal instead now.

Live and you learn, I guess.

      • Yeah it sucks. $200 is a multiple of $100 so it should have tracked. Sorry I brought this upon you :(

I missed out on $50 cashback here
