Looking for a VPN provider for my upcoming trip overseas. Search OZB and couldn;t see any good active deal. Noticed Cashreward is back offering 100% cashback. Conditions apply.

  • Just be aware that all marketing pricing is USD, even though you paid in AUD, and they know you are in Australia. It tricked me, and they clearly make their business on people not cancelling, or buying items that is not in their currency. Their checkout page just has $amount, no mention of USD, and only tiny text at the bottom saying it may not be in your currency. Good times.

    • I had the same issue. Also need to select basic otherwise the addons aren’t included into the cashback.

      Seems a bit sneaky

      • Was the Cashrewards logo anywhere on the site for you? how did you know it got tracked? because my previous one didn't and i ended up cancelling and refunding

          no logo. I got the tracking confirmation about 1 hour after registering. Having said that I had to cancel that subscription since I accidentally included the add-ons. Now waiting for the 2nd tracking confirmation, I used a different email so hopefully it'll track correctly

  • Be careful, I did the cashrewards link with adblock on and it didn't track. Neither Nord or cashrewards wanted to honour it and i ended up trying to put a refund through

    EDIT: Going to try do it again, however I don't see the cashrewards logo anywhere, I'm clicking through the site with adblock paused, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Be wary of this company.

    Signed up to a two year subscription and cancelled this two months prior to it ending. Just after the two year anniversary, my credit card was billed for another two years worth of their VPN service and I had to get out CC company involved to dispute the charge.

    When I searched online, it seems like it has happened to numerous others.

      First thing I did was to cancel the automatic renewal

        They auto renewed mine more than 2 weeks prior to the actual plan expiry date. I wrote them a nasty email and also lodged a chargeback with my Bank. Buyer beware!!

    Would you have to open a new cash rewards account? as well as a new email setup with nord if previously claimed with cash rewards for nord 2 years ago?

    Just done it. CR tracked within an hour.
    Paid USD $85.43, received email from Cashrewards tracking USD $81.36 (AUD $118.72)

    I used the virgin island to avoid GST and paid via PayPal to be in USD currency

    • As if you set your VPN to virgin islands to avoid paying GST? did you leave the VPN while you went through the paypal checkout?

        You don’t have to use VPN while doing any of that. You can change your country of location while checking out on the NordVPN page

  • Does the email for your new NORDVPN account need to match your Cashrewards email account, or can it be any email address?

    • Emails can be different

  • just did mine, basic, haven't seen CR track yet, will be watching… (Shows up in click history and CashRewards Plugin was active)

    Paid $122.85 AUD and tracked $118.72 AUD (used Christmas Island to avoid GST and VAT), had to use PayPal as Coles Mastercard kept declining for some reason.

    • This is what i was scared of, no logo or anything from cashrewards, it didn't track within a week which is what they said to allow, went through both supports and they pointed fingers at each other saying contact them. Glad yours came through though!

    be careful, mine didnt track and many previous similar deals involving Nord say that it doesnt track.

  • Don't use a VPN or pop-up blocker, log into cash rewards first.

    Tried to sign up twice with Shopback last week, offering 98% CB. Both times they declined it, despite screenshots as I did it and a screen recording showing the purchase (often do it now on ShopBack due to them being disgusting in not honouring cashback.

    Signed up to Cashrewards, also used the links for the EOFY promo giving $20 bonus CB with first purchase. Grabbed this NordVPN offer and scored $118 CB (from $122 charge, used non GST country like others) and will get a $20 bonus too! Nice work and will use Cashrewards now over ShopBack.

    Also, anyone using Nord, first, ensure using the NordLynx protocol (wireguard and way faster) but you can also setup wireguard in many routers for all device coverage.

  • I’ve taken the subscription, and it’s showing in CR click history, but it hasn’t shown up in my rewards yet. It’s been an hour, so should I seek help from support or wait longer?

    • Update: It is currently displayed in the rewards section (after a few hours).

  • New to cashrewards. Why do we need to wait up to 100 days for cashback approvals?

    • Its usually lined up with the return window, essentially so you're unable to return the product/service after having received the cashback.

      • Nope, Nord only have a 30 day money back guarantee, but you don't know for sure if you will get the cashback until 90 days, so it's a gamble.

    be aware that you need to pay on the first attempt… ridiculous!

    Please note that cashback is issued for first-time customers, meaning if you had a previous purchase under your NordVPN account that will automatically make you ineligible to claim cashback for a more recent purchase.

    yes but all for the same purcahse, I was having issues with the payment method, it was all the same day
