  Would the counter staff know that you have paid using FuelPay in app? Otherwise it may look like I’m running off without paying.

      I did that the first time i used the app and the dude seemed pretty indifferent.
      Then i figured it it probably closes out the transaction on their system so they can see it's finalised.

    I've been using the app to pay for the last few years. In the early days I had an attendant flag me down thinking I was doing a runner and then I went in and her system updated, since then it hasn't happened (or I don't look to see them waving anymore).

      Happened to me a few weeks ago when I was being accommodating and drove away to park in the parking spots so the cars behind me could move up the line (it was a little crowded).

      The guy ran after me like a crazy chicken until he saw me walk out of my car with my wallet in my hand.

  A note to newcomers to the app … it might make sense to use the 6c/L off for the first three uses with traditional credit card linked and then switch to Apple Pay for the 8c/L on your fourth fill up.

    Yeah, have to start using Ampol. With 7-11 insane price of $2.29 per liter for unleaded, even with locked price which I have, I cannot go lower than $2.

    You don’t pay at the counter, you pay on your phone (Ampol app).
