    Bin Chicken proof?

    • -1

Thanks for your interest. I’m not aware of them opening bin lids so the BinM8 Bungee should be good, the bin chickens usually rummage through open lids.

Not really a bargain when you can just use a normal bungee for less. Or buy the cord from Aliexpress, drill a hole either side & feed it through & tie a knot.

    Polytuf Adjustable Bungee Cord - 4 Pack$10.98.

More like using OzB for free adz. Post needs more tick emojis.

      or 20 for $22 > https://www.bunnings.com.au/grunt-75cm-tie-down-octopus-stra…

(if they're too long tie a couple of knots in them)

If you have the time to run around and do it yourself for less than $10 - go for it.

✅ Throw your bin down a hill and see how it goes.
✅ Will it automatically activate when it's collected?
✅ Doing anything for this issue is better than nothing

What issue? I don't understand the need for this product.

You have a poor attitude. ✅✅✅

Neg accordingly for how you are responding unprofessionally. WatchNerd ⌚🤓has a valid point ✅✅✅ for cheaper alternatives. As a new store on OzBargain, this isn't going to fly 💸and your time ⌚ here will be very short.

Or just use a brick 🧱like everyone else. ✅✅✅

        Sheesh. ‼️‼️❗❗❕❗❗❗⁉️

As per WN, valid point, and not a bargain due to a similar product elsewhere

    • +1

Thanks WN, that is a better buy.

  • City councils should just redesign bin lids so they cover the entire top of the bin. That way animals won't have a surface to stand on when they try to open the lid, unless they're tall enough to reach the lid while standing on the ground (i.e. humans).

Most councils encourage the use of these products

Just out of interest, how many of the 537 councils in Australia actually encourage the use of this product?, or is this just an airy-fairy marketing claim?

    • +2

      Most of them!

        Or… False or misleading claims? > https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/advertising-and-promotions…

-Businesses shouldn't try to gain an unfair advantage by making misleading claims about their products or services.
-Claims should be true, accurate and based on reasonable grounds.
-A business must be able to prove any claim they advertise.

        • +1

I know. (It was a joke)

  • +5

There's no mention on the page you linked to council approval, despite the claim being made in the OP. Which councils have approved these?

  • +1

    Lol

Don't waste you money on this

  • +1

I'm assuming this is to stop crows getting into your bin? The solution is to not overfill it.

  • -2

Why all the bashing? Give old mate a break. It's Australian-made, priced at $9.95 with free postage. How much profit does he make per sale?

    • +3

      When it's warranted, it's warranted.
It's a bargain website, but the OP hasn't really posted a bargain has he?

    • +2

      take it to ozadvertising.

Does it keep the meth addicts from upending your bin on the front yard so they can get to the 20¢ worth of bottles for recycling?
