Looking at this between the Go 3 and the Clip 4

Looks like the Clip 4 has double the battery life (10hrs vs 5hrs), more powerful (2w vs 5w), is lighter (239g vs 290g) with almost the exact same dimenison, and has a clip thats useable.

edit: actually this looks better comparison - https://www.rtings.com/speaker/tools/compare/jbl-go-3-vs-jbl…

You’re comparing a more expensive speaker from the same manufacturer. Of course the clip would have better features / sound as it’s over 50% more expensive. On this logic you could keep going up and finding better and better speakers but paying more. A better comparison would be with a speaker from a different manufacturer at the same price
The clip RRP is $89 and this one is $59

I got one of these the other day. I often leave it on over night at low volume and it can do this 2-3 days in a row before needing a charge, so it lives up to the 20 hours playback at 50%.

You can get a second one for a friend and it will pair as stereo with the TWS which sounds cool, although it doesn't always connect automatically.

Feels pretty decent for its price, seeing as its the same size its probably about the same sound wise as JBL, just bigger battery and more features.

Really most of those Bluetooth speakers that use 3 or 5 watts 15, etc even like the canister ones, most of them use relatively the same driver board chips as the units that are half the price normally anyway. They use Qualcom bluetooth chips or TI Power amp chips etc, that the cheaper brands don't have massive markups on, nearly the same speaker cone drivers too.

As an example This is the chip the JBL Flip 4 uses, Think about this when spending $50 more dollars on 2 extra watts as a feature.

I've been using the ROYQUEEN for a couple of months as well and I couldn't be happier for the price (I paid $26.99).

Great little speaker, attach a little carabina to the loop and it's good to go - would recommend for travelling, super light and sound is good enough to watch a movie on an ipad etc or blast it while riding a scooter or pushy.

Waterproof feature also good, dropped it in a toilet after a rough night with Bali belly - kept me motivated to stay alive.

  • Seems to be a Go 4 releasing shortly, anyone know of any large differences?
