    They seem to charge different prices depending on the colour… Amazon have the Blue or Red dualsense for $79 which I think is the same price as BigW? Other colours are more expensive.

    No, there has been a few. I bought a PS5 disc slim for $616 in an eBay/Gamesmen deal back in March, so in comparison, this is not that great a deal.

      Ah right, was just searching the deals and scanning the dates, didn't spot that one. Looks like the Slim has had some deals, not the standard model.
      Certainly feels like the deals were every other week around Dec/Jan.

        Yep, but the Dec/Jan deals were runout sales for the prior model (not the slim). Your point is right though, deals on the slim have been few and far between.

  Not being an experienced console guy - is it likely that the Pro release will reduce the price of the Slim when it comes out? Wondering if it's worth waiting for, and ready to change sides from my Xbox One X.

    I'd probably hold off for now because Xbox is potentially coming out with the next gen console in 2026, which will be much better than the Pro as it'll have a new CPU/GPU instead of just an upgraded GPU.

      I'm ready to switch - I like the PS exclusives, all my friends are on PS, and they now have a decent Gamepass equivalent.

    I would imagine a price announcement isn't too far away. I'd say hold off. Either the Pro comes in at the current price and pushes down the price of the standard model, or it comes in more expensive and the standard model stays at this price. Either way, if you're not in a hurry you might as well wait a few months until you can make an informed decision rather than buying now and having potential regrets afterwards.
