  • Using gift card still eligible?

    • “Purchases paid with any Amazon credit as partial or full payment.” … makes me uneasy.

if gift cards aren’t stackable in some way, i almost think this could be the end of SB/CR promotions. on average it would be better to just wait for the seller to run a sale and pay using discounted gift cards :(

      • Cos shopback says it's ineligible if gift card,is redeemed. That's why I am not sure about CB. I think it's Amazon 's decision, soon or later it they will be the same.

The Amazon page on Cashrewards clearly says:

        Cashback is eligible for:

        • Purchase of products in an eligible category paid with gift cards.

A discussion involving TA last year also confirmed that Amazon credit and Amazon gift cards are two different things. A recent example of Amazon credit is the $5 promotional credit you earn when spending $79 or more on selected Amazon gift cards through this deal.

I also just logged into my Amazon account and checked the gift card balance on my Amazon account. Nowhere does it mention anything about credit.

Of course, the assumption I have made is that the Cashrewards page is accurate. I would like to think it is accurate, but without contacting Cashrewards support nor a rep on OzBargain, we cannot be certain that there have been no recent changes on the exclusions for Amazon cashback.

      Cashback is eligible for:

Purchase of products in an eligible category paid with gift cards.

  • Isn't this normal?

    • +3

Never as high as 10%. Usually around 7% with EXTREMELY limited categories (ie, normally just amazon devices like kindles etc). 0-4% on everything else

Man when was the last time there was a decent cash back on physical books?

  • +1

How do they come up with these rates? The rate is much higher than the Amazon affiliate rate for Amazon devices, but lower than the affiliate rate for video games.

  • What is "Amazon devices"?

    • +3

Kindle, Echo Dot, Echo show, Fire TV, eero…

      • Thanks, that makes sense

  • +1

    "All categories"?

Apparel is presumably Cashrewards' name for clothing/fashion. Is it Cashrewards not keeping up to date with Az "departments" or Amazon constantly re-arranging them to avoid cb?

  • I think topcashback always goes up to 10% ?

    • +1

      less categories

  • Are they gonna have the weird sub category which has a lower rate not shown like last time?

  • Hm, some of them are better than TopCashback. I am yet to raise a cashback match claim w. them, normal claims take forever.

  • +1

The categories with 0.7% cashback. Why bother?

  • Better off waiting for bonus $3 with shopback for $30 amazon gift card I assume.

Bog rolls (Health, Household & Personal Care = 0.7%).

  • TIL people see 10% max discount as exciting..

  • Is coffee machine under home improvement?

  • Kitchen & Dining > coffee machine

    • No cash back then? Based on the category listed

      • Dunno

        • Should be under Kitchen

          • @Bii: But kitchen is a subcategory under kitchen and dining. And no coffee machine under kitchen.

            • @am03fj: Ask CR directly. It's way past time they aligned their"departments" with Az accurately.

If the first "department" is Kitchen then every product under that should be 10%. GL

Is there a way to find out what category a product is under? Considering a Bambu lab 3D printer

    • Most likely 'personal computing'. Apparently it's a laser printer! Lol

    • Sometimes the category will appear on the item page if you
      -add to cart
      -go to cart
      -click on the item link.
In this case Computers›Printers, Ink & Accessories›Printers›Laser Printers appeared above the image
