  • Are these Australian Stock?

    • Last time I bought from them for iPhone 13 refurb it was a Japan unit

      • +1

Thank you. Almost pulled the trigger. I would prefer a legit second hand rather these who know what they are and might be OPEN BODY

      • click… or whatever the new digital version of the old film cameras would sound like.

Beware of these Open Box items from Mobileciti. There have been some bad experiences from other Ozbargainers.

  • +2

Open box but condition says "excellent - refurbished"??

    • +25

      They closed the box

    • +6

      Different expectations.

To prospective buyers, it's a thousand dollar device, so it better be in as new condition.

To the seller, it's one of a thousand phones they gonna sell this week, it's working and discounted, what more do you want?

  • +2

Was excited til I saw refurb😢

    • +8

you can get brand new 15 pro max for pretty similar price. Price beat at OW against Costco, if you have Ultimate gift cards then even better. 1869.980.950.90 = 1598.83. Sign up for free trial of Onepass gives you 5x Flybuys points. So around 8800 point equivalent to $44 back that can spent at Coles. Flying overseas and you can also claim TRS.

Ugh, you used only $50 GC? 😂

          • @hawkeye93: Yep.. -_-

Only $50 GCs with OW on the giftcard seem to be available at Coles ATM (W/10% off). Her is the only one with $100 (no OW). The rest $50.. Confirmed by multiple bargainers..

            • +1

@stickymoo: That’s a lot to process. When I paid for mine, I used $100 GCs and the lady behind me kept mumbling that I had lots of gift cards to process (which is annoying to her). I don’t care 😂

              • @hawkeye93: 30x $50 GCs

I'd have preferred $100 GCs for sure..

I went pretty late at night when they were really quiet..

I'm the same. $$ is $$, & the payment type is offered, so now OW has my $$.

      • Thx-Can’t get more OB into a purchase process. Definitely worth the upvote. I’m keen to try this but does ow always beat Costco, I would have thought they’d hide behind the membership.

        • they are more generous nowadays. Some don't even bother checking your Costco membership. The lady at the store I purchased from kept saying that they can price beat as long as I have valid membership but never checked that.

      • How do you verify the Costco price when you’re in OW to get the price beat? They usually want to see proof and I’m not a member

    • cough on with spit dried on screen

  • Yea refurb is by luck some could have screen replaced which would make them non water resistant.

    • Yeah that’s what I am worried about looking at previous comments, where people bought refurb Apple Watch Ultras that weren’t waterproof at all….but phones may be less of an issue?

      • My guess is most are refurbished due to cracked screens.

        • replaced screen at some fly by nights not at apple so the screen is usually smaller than specs leaving gaps for dirt water and gherms

Does refurbished include free ear wax?

    • It’s what makes it squeaky clean.

    • Sure! Look for those refurb AirPods Pro 2.

  • I'd only consider open box if the box was first opened by me.

    • ?

      • +1

Saying that the only time they would consider buying open box would be if they opened the box - ie brand new

  • Still enjoying the small iPhone 13 mini 💪
    See no need to upgrade.

    • I wanted to love it. But couldn’t get used to the non-120Hz screen.

Returned it and got myself a 15 Pro.

    • Yeah, many still love the small form factor.

Refurbished should be in the title

Sorry this is expensive for a 2nd hand product

    • +6

I agree on the title. The actual item lists it as 'Excellent - Refurbished' so it should be tagged as such.

'As new' may be misleading depending on it's history.

  • Any idea, what time this sale becomes active on eBay?

    • 10 am AEST.

  • +1

    CODE IS LIVE GOGOGOGOGO

  • This seems much to suspicious to me. The listing for blue 256g says "[as new] open box", but the listing condition is "excellent - refurbished" and when I called and spoke to one of the staff members just now I asked these specific questions:
    1. Are these phones that have been bought and returned? - no
    2. Are these Australian stock? - yes
    3. Do these have Australian manufacturers warranty? - yes

Why do they list them as "refurbished" then?
I wanna buy the 15p 256g but it seems much too suss

Edit: she said something about "getting a lot from the supplier" and mentioned they are demo units, take from that what you will. Does Apple have some program where they do an official refurb on demo units before they are resold?

    • +3

Why do they list them as "refurbished" then?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. we currently categorises items as either brand new or refurbished. For any items that are not brand new, we automatically link them to the refurbished category. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      • So these are demo units? QhatCan you please tell how the warranty works on these models? Happy to buy if these are like new as mentioned

        • Could be activated so may lose some months of warranty already.

  • +1

Thanks OP! FYI, I just ordered the 128GB iPhone 15 in black for $899.99 even though it had a line through it on this post.

  • Lmao I recommend if you are picking this up triple check the phone.

Not calling out anyone here but the misus got a 256gb new phone and the lady handed over a 128gb 😂 luckily we checked before we walked out. Im sure it was an oversight but just remind everyone should check no matter where they getting their stuff.

I've never had an issue buying from Mobileciti since I think 2013.

  • Is it just me or the 25% code no longer work. Yes I have eBay Plus before anyone ask.

Unfortunately, this code no longer works.

  • +1

I recently bought the 15 pro 128gb brand new from officeworks for around this price.

Officeworks pricebeat costco @ 5% discount

    Costco price - 1549
    x 0.95 = 1471.55

I then bought ultimate gift cards from coles for 10% off.

    1471.55 * 0.9 = 1324.395

Prefer this as it is a proper retailer and aussie stock brand new.

  • +2

just seeing if anything has received their deliveries from mobileciti yet?

EDIT: been advised the device will come without a box, am just deciding if I still want my order or not.

    • Exact same from me! Mine was supposed to be a gift too. They say they're offering express shipping as a "gesture of goodwill" but they've already taken a week without shipping the phone so express shipping will barely make up for the huge delay in shipping… I would be expecting a discount for sending me a lesser product than what I ordered.

    • Mine was supposed to be next day shipping by express post. I had to chase up a week later when tracking showed no progress. Couple days later they replied and said it was not in stock, and offered alternative colour. Could have told me sooner instead of waiting for customer to chase up then look for it…

      • A week gone by after they offered me another colour that was supposedly in stock and I accepted, no more communication and nothing being shipped yet…
