My promo expired with Exetel so I was on the hunt for a NBN promo. Discovered this when clocking on another post for a different NBN deal. Was very plesantly suprised I could request an FTTP upgrade, been a long wait.
All in should be a $259.99 gain. I'll let you decide if TPG is worth dealing with for that amount of money.
I will note the website for sign was horrible, took many attempts and could only do it on my phone…. Sign of good things to come from an internet company when they can't get their own website right. No word on install time. Currently getting 38Mbps Down / 19Mbps up on the 100/20 plan. This is right in line with line maximum unfortunately.
nbn FTTN can be upgraded to FTTP in selected locations. Most of FTTC can be upgraded to FTTP.
What is the minimum speed plan you can order from a participating ISP to get FTTP?
FTTN to FTTP: Home Fast (100/20).
FTTC to FTTP: Home Superfast (250/25).
Can I order a faster speed plan with TPG?
Faster speeds can be ordered.
FTTN to FTTP: Home Superfast (250/25) and Home Ultrafast (1000/50).
FTTC to FTTP: Home Ultrafast (1000/50).
As usual there are some T&C's

I moved from tangerine to More on the same 100/20 plan. While Tangerine was fast ; I realised the speed change instantly once I moved to More telecom. They try to blame on wifi modem and stuff. But I know it’s way off. I sometime get 10 mbps , some times 30 mbps and at time 80mbps. It’s just not stable enough
So my take away has been that ISP matters. Even with same everything the speed can be completely different .
