    Wait for tomorrow ;)
Little birdie has advised that the 512GB oled will be an all time low

Should be noted that the 1TB version comes with the etched anti-glare glass display. The 512GB version doesn’t.

    Some prefer non etched glass.

A glossy screen tends to be more vibrant/ clearer.
The etched anti-glare helps minimise fingerprint smudges and reflections but isn’t as clear.

    • This is accurate. If you put on a gloss tempered glass screen protector on a 1 TB it's 95 percent the same as the gloss 512 GB version.

Picked up the 512GB SD OLED last week from Japan for $720 AUD. 1TB models were sold out everywhere though. Not a big deal as I prefer the screen of the 512GB model over the anti-glare one which looks more like an LCD in person in normal lighting conditions.

    • Nice one 👍

How was your experience at homes airport customs? Was taxes for it required?

we are absolutely rorted in Australia on price.

The Steam Deck aren't officially sold in Australia, which is one of the reasons our prices are higher as it's only sold through third-party.

      • Jw why were you unsuccessful, out of stock?

Going there next month wondering if i should hold out

I went to five different places in Akihabara and they were sold out of every model… It's worth checking if you're in the area though.

          • @TylerBmellb1978: Ah yeah fair enough

@Godric: I even got my hotel reception to call up a few places out of area and they're were all out of stock. You might lucky though! Best of luck.

    • Was it hard to find it in stock? Which city was it?

  • On a side note, anyone manage to get one of these to download at intended speeds when connected to a 5GHz wifi network?
