These iphone clone cables are usually terrible quality, the hard plastic cracks, the wires become exposed, and they usually won't charge an ipad reliably.
You're better off getting one of the newer style generic "ribbon" cables for a few cents more, which have soft moulded plugs, and charge ipads without loss of amps.

I have bought cheap iphone cables from ebay and they destroyed my charger! could of burnt my house down.
These are $1 all the time on eBay - even cheaper if you buy in an auction. I suppose this is cheaper by a few cents though ;)
