Look like TGG Commercial has very limited range of TP-link modem/router and other mesh that used to be.

    • What's the difference between X25 and X20?

Seems like the X20 has Homeshield software bloat…and it's white vs X25 is black?

  • Are the X series as reliable as the M ? My M9 set has being rock solid, but not really keeping up with gigabit

Reliable yes, won't do gigabit over Wi-Fi but that's likely the device not the router.
M were super solid, but these will feel much faster due to the lower latency with WiFi 6.

    • My M9 set has being rock solid, but not really keeping up with gigabit

My M5 can do gigabit NBN FTTP, make sure you have cat 5e or 6 cable.

    This or the Asus?https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/848931

Similar specs but for me ASUS > TP-Link.

I got the X50 a few weeks ago for $269. If you wait for a deal around the $300 mark and price beat at Bunnings, that's where the real deal is.

    Hi guys,

Please be aware that these use a star topology mesh, where each node connects to the main node and the main node being the one with the WAN connection. If your setup requires something different please look into this more

Im not sure if all mesh devices are like this, but just something i discovered when setting up my X20. I incorrectly assumed the nodes would connect to which ever satellite node is closer

UPDATE: After i wrote the above i discovered that a firmware update had given the option set the 'Connection preference' which you can now select the connection node. Great!

I think my M5 did connect to node.

That's not mesh then, by definition.

    • Will share my PSA again. The Deco's have been good routers (for me). But not all are comparable. Most people naively compare only the WiFi speeds, eth ports, etc., but the real differences between Deco's is the software. You can compare different Deco's on their website and see which features are available for each. Some like the Deco m5 have a lot of features, other newer models have VERY basic features and nothing else. They do add features over time to each, but I wouldn't rely on it, especially if it's not one of their more popular models
