  • Can i transfer my current boost to this one, then transfer to a new boost recharge sim?

  • +1

SIM cards must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

  • Will this work for e sim?

    • It worked for cashrewards, probably fine for shopback.
Since you can order the e-sim on the amaysim website instead of being forced into the app like with boost.

  • +3

The discount seems to be tied to the promotional code 'MAYHEM', which is not listed on ShopBack …

    • so do we get the shopback cash back or not?

    • in the past with amaysim, transactions involving codes automatically added at checkout still count as valid cashback worthy purchases

cashrewards, although a different site altogether ofc, is a bit more explicit than shopback - this is seen under their ineligible things section:

Codes not listed on Cashrewards (codes that auto-apply on amaysim's website at checkout are eligible).

but ill cc @gotyourback for this one

    • +2

Code 'MAYHEM' now needs to be entered for SIM price to reduce from $40 to $15

BUT T&C state doing that you will receive NO cashback…😜
This Cashback deal is not valid together with:
Promo codes not featured on our platform

Wouldn't risk it unless Rep assures us it will be approved!!

  • Is this deal one per SB account?

  • +8

    My last one got rejected

    • This should be pinned.

Responsive rep suddenly ghosts everyone that got rejected.

      • I think GYB has just been restricted as to what support he can provide on-site unfortunately. Shot him a PM a couple weeks ago re pending cashback from last year and he just directed me to support :( Don't think it's his fault

    • +3

My last one was also rejected. No reason given expect the usual “tracking” reasons.
EBay purchase an hour earlier and AliExpress later that night tracked so I’m pretty confident the issue wasn’t tracking on my end that was the issue.

      • I think it is probably due to the stupid amaysim verification setting that interrupts the purchase if you remember it during the process.

    • Anyone, if your Amaysim purchases were rejected, pls provide full & candid disclosure, eg was there any wrong-doing ?

Also, if you had screen-shots etc as proof of purchases & activation within their deadlines (20/30 days), ie you had provided evidence to prove that you've meet ALL-their-criteria, did it make any difference to your-rejection?

      • +3

if you had screen-shots etc as proof of purchases & activation within their deadlines (20/30 days), ie you had provided evidence to prove that you've meet ALL-their-criteria

in my appeals across various years, none of that helped, at least not with shopback.

        • You followed ALL their criteria to-the-letter, right ?

And the money-back claims were relatively-small, below $15, right ?

MY-interpretaion: Shopback has a get-out-jail clause: 'Cashback exclusions…Any exceptions will be at the store's discretion.'

Simply-put, Shopback CAN reject money-back claims if their partner-stores (Amaysim) reject users' claims.

          • +2

@ab c: That seems to be the case. I just wish SB would say the store rejected it, rather than the generic “make sure it tracks” response.

    • +1

is it because 'Cashback is only applicable for customers getting a New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers).'?

      • 'Cashback is only applicable for customers getting a New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers)'

Anyone, is this the 1st time this criteria was stated, ie EXTRA-restriction…I don't recall seeing this in their May-24 ShopBack-Amaysim deal ?

    • +1

To give another perspective mine is still showing on my account with approval date as 17 Jun

      • +1

another perspective: mine is also pending with 17 jun

    • That Deal was for $18 80GB SIM
      tracked as $28 - confirmed by 17/6
(as promoted - redeemable in 75d)

Others tried in that Deal for SIM with more data & same $10 profit. eg 120GB with $10 profit
      Which may have been rejected.

  • Oops missed it, just bought one yesterday via. CR with $2 loss

    • +2

I'd still purchase it from CR. I think CR is more reliable than SB. Shopback's customer service has been pretty useless since Feb. Since there is a code to be used, it will be too risky for a $2 difference.

  • +1

    Special notes from store:

‣Cashback is only applicable for customers getting a New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers).
.SIM cards must be activated within 30 days of purchase.
•A valid ID check will be required to complete activation of a new service.
•If your SIM arrives pre-activated, contact amaysim Mobile.
•Exclusive Partner Promos (Groupon & Others), refer a friend offers, promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack are not eligible for cashback.

    • +2

Cashback is only applicable for customers getting a New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers).

I wonder how many returned-customers (NOT 'New Customers') will be rejected & we'll find out in 75 days after they've paid for it ?

ShopBack also states 'Cashback exclusions…Any exceptions will be at the store's discretion.'

Seems like they have add extra-criteria (recently?) with the intention of attracting NEW-customers to try-out ?

Anyone, feel free to share your different-interpretations, with link to support.

      • No problems!
Have been an Amaysim customer for years.
        Just used different email.
        Activated within 30d.
Ported my number, which involved ID check.
        $18 80GB SIM tracked @$28

        • Just used different email.

When you activate these sims, how do you overcome ID-check which is mandatory for all NEW-mobile#?
ID-check includes name, DOB, address, contact# etc

          You seems to implied Amaysim doesn't check your-ID (NEW Sign-Ups ) with other-ID (old sign-ups) ?

          • +1

@ab c: Some people regularly get spooked by "new customer" in T&C of SIM cashback Deals!

            how do you overcome ID-check

Overcome? Just provided correct ID. As previously provided.

Logged into new Amaysim account - based on new email address.

Wasn't an existing Amaysim customer at time of signup.

So was accepted as new customer as had new email, new account & new phone number.
Done that so many times with Amaysim!

Same as with other Telco sign ups & received cashback.
Been SIM hopping many times a year for about 8 years! Never had a problem.

Porting number from another Telco as I did, requires matching name & dob provided - checked by old Telco before a port proceeds.

            • @INFIDEL: Thanks champ 🏆

Seems like their practice is rather-loose, may be lack of staffing & resource to beef-up enforcement.

As per noted above, ShopBack & Amaysim have stated their requirements. If users knowingly break-them, then they can't complain about money-back rejections.

It seems that Boost is quite-relax ?

              • @ab c: Every cashback SIM Deal has a "new customer" requirement. Even Boost.

I am a new customer on a new Amaysim service. As far as Amaysim is concerned.

Just was with them in the past on a different phone number, email & account.

Things would probably be different if I had signed up with an existing Amaysim service / signed up on existing account / Amaysim phone number!
They could detect that & reject it.

But to get cashback, that would be unwise!

may be lack of staffing & resource to beef-up enforcement.

Optus bought Amaysim years ago! Think Optus is big enough.

These promotions are simply to beef-up number of new subscribers to their service.
                For Amaysim's benefit!!
                Doubt they are worried😉

                • @INFIDEL: great work & thanks for sharing

            • @INFIDEL: ID-check must be done on name & DOB for every NEW mobile #, otherwise mobile-operators CAN lose their license.

You're saying that Amaysim process of enforcing T&C 'New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers)' don't look @ ID-check & hence allowing returnED customerS to get money-back via ShopBack & CashRewards.

And hence your comments, including Amaysim-sim-> 'Been SIM hopping many times a year for about 8 years! Never had a problem'

  • +1

Amaysim uses the optus network. I've had a pretty good experience with them, would recommend 😊👍

Hi @gotyourback, I believe there are many boost cashbacks that are due for confirmation remains at Pending. Mine was due since 30/05. What's going on there? Please provide an update. Thanks.

    • this is the second month where status is still pending past the due date. Enquired but not heard back yet. 😕

    • just received email about 10 mins ago that the cashback are now confirmed!

    • This was the last time I used Shopback, when I hit a wall with Boost.
I'm sick of chasing too many cashbacks down.

    • Hey @Eugklng! Sorry to hear about that. Could you drop us a DM with your account details so we can check further on this for you?

      • Thanks @gotyourback. Its sorted now. It got confirmed yesterday a few hours after I've posted. Lately it's been rather late unfortunately.

  • +1

This uses a promocode Mayhem which auto-fills at checkout
    does that affect the cashback

    • The code sometimes doesn't get applied by default. Changed my order from $15 to $40!

      The code still works though.

      • Has it tracked properly?

        • From experience, tracking doesn't show until much later in the day or the next day.

  • Has anyone purchased and transaction tracked? Tks

    • I purchased over the weekend with a lower cashback. Got tracking mail after 24 hours

  • bought it this morning at 8am but not tracked

  • Purchase just tracked now but as ‘calculating’. Has anyone had this before for Amaysim and becomes updated to the normal amount? Wondering if I should try to cancel the order with Amaysim due to the previous comments of not tracking properly or rejection..

    • +2

Calculating is usually not a good sign. It will either rejected or changed into $0

      • "Calculating" has resulted in higher than promoted cashback!

SB Deal for Bundaberg Campfire 4 pack (cost $26), promoted as 100% cashback…
        STILL remains as "Calculating".
But SB paid out an "Online Bonus" of $30!

SB only paid out after correction!!
        So wouldn't trust it😜

    • Yeah mine says calculating too (purchased when the deal was posted). I'm thinking of cancelling too.

  • -1

    Not tracked

  • +1

is this even a deal if people are getting rejected and there is no clarity if the code is allowed?

  • The cost for UNLIMITED 80GB 28-Day Sim is $40. So maybe sold out?

    • +1

Requires adding code not approved by SB!! So unlikely to be approved.

      • What is the code? There isn't one quoted in this post and I can't see it anywhere on the Amaysim website for that SIM.

          • @INFIDEL: It didn't apply to mine during checkout so shrug

            • +1

              @Buyer0fBargains: Seems no longer autofills
Hence my warning - wouldn't rely on cashback

Earlier purchasers received "Calculating" rather than Tracking - which I've had in 2 problematic Deals. Both paid out!

              • @INFIDEL: I'm leaning towards it's an unobtainable deal now. If you enter the code manually, it means you invalidate the cashback. But the promo code not autofilling (which would be a possible ineligibility anyway) isn't happening. I'm not risking it because I don't have the money too but if you do, definitely let us know how it goes in a few months.

                • @Buyer0fBargains: Saw this Deal soon after posting.
As its not from Rep, I let it sit to see feedback. Glad I didn't buy @$1.25 Profit!

My last SB Amaysim Deal tracked for $10 profit, to be confirmed by 17/6. SIM just ran out of credit, so want another.

Uncertainty in SB Deals is not a good experience!

  • amaysim 64GB 28-Day Plan $10 (Renews at $30/32GB) + $9.75 ShopBack/TopCashback Cashback

This one needs a coupon code "EOFY", which would invalidate the cashback due to shopback T&C?

This Cashback deal is not valid together with:

Vouchers or Promo codes not featured on our platform

    • No, it would likely be rejected. This is an unobtainable deal right now.

  • The 80GB sim is showing as $40 and not $15. Looks like this deal might be over?

The best option looks like the 64GB SIM plan which has been reduced to $10. Shopback has $9.75 cashback for this plan (32GB Mobile SIM plan - double data). So after cashback the cost is $0.25.

  • Anybody have the correct amount track for this? Mine never changed from calculating…

    • i purchased the other sim on that day as well
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849379
it wasn't tracked, sent an enquiry and it is now also showing as calculating 😑

      • Mine was tracked but straight to calculating.

  • I don't have faith in SB anymore. Cancelled my eSIM (that I never even entered in my phone but was apparently already active) and requested a refund from Amaysim. Thankfully they were compliant.

  • @gotyourback is the "calculating" tracking legit in this occasion? Same for the eBay 20% on 28/6 as well. The rest of the EOFY cashbacks went well apart from these two. TIA!

    • @brianmau Happy to help! Can you DM us to get some more details about your purchase? This will help us look into this faster for you.

      • PM sent. Thanks.
