I hadn’t heard of this IK10 rating, apparently it protects from a 20 joule impact! I don’t know what that means but it doesn’t sound like much!!
Some rapid googling later and a hammer blow is apparently ~200 foot pounds or 300 joules.
I’m don’t have a good understanding of these calculations so anyone please come in with the right info. However I do not believe it would be vandal proof (unless you put it on a 20 foot pole in which case a slice of cake would be ‘vandal proof’).
Most of the time, people doing something wrong aren't going to care or carry a hammer to destroy every camera, but if they are, they're going to make sure they're proper rooted with a sledge, wire cutters and fire.
