Buy a ring kettlebell to go with your Ring doorbell.

    • Thanks. My regular doorstep is next to useless nowadays

    2kg, 4kg Kettlebell $1/kg

Ah yes, the Kettlebell potato $1/kg.

    • why buy this when potatoes are similar price and nutritious

      • +8

Exactly! But a 4kg bag of potatoes doesn't have an oversized glory hole 😔

        • +15

          oversized for you mebbe

      • +3

because it doesn't stay 4kg as you continue to eat it.

  • -2

Are these better for firming or toning?

    • +15

      Yes

    • +2

      foning

    • +1

I imagine that, if you can fit your arm in the hole and wear it as a shoulderpad, it would be perfect for firming your shoulders.

    $1/kg lol.

    • +1

      So you're worth $140?

      • +4

Saw this on that markdown Facebook group earlier. That group posts a lot of strange stuff, most posts are bragging about buying expired food for like 90% off. But they do get some good bargains before us here.

    • +2

that's the printed expiry date which really means to take it off the store shelfs at that date. food is still good past "expire" date

      • -5

Eh. I grew up poor, I'm very familiar with what food past the expiry date tastes like. It's usually worse imo. Maybe perfectly good, but worse. And homebrand isn't exactly the same as real brand. Real Tiny Teddy biscuits taste like vanilla and egg. The cheap ones taste like a mouthful of cold flour. I mean probably not anymore, home brands have changed in the last 10 years, but still the idea that homebrand is exactly the same is just what poor parents tell their kids to shut them up. The idea that the expensive cheese factory just stamps out the exact same cheese for home brand and the expensive brand, you'd have to be pretty dense to actually believe that. The homebrand cheese doesn't even melt under the grill..

        • +1

Ehh it really depends on the food. For best before - things that are dehydrated for example (pasta, shelf stable noodles, dried peas/legumes etc) don't taste really any different. Soft drink definitely does.

For use by - a lot of things are a legal requirement. These people getting 90% off - if it's going in the freezer, it really makes little difference if it's expiring in 1 day or 5 days. Also helps reduce food waste. What's not to love?

No one said anything about home brand being as good as expensive brands lol.

          • +4

@pennypincher98: lmao, i was thinking the same thing. he just went AWOL with the home brands. i was so confused.

          • @pennypincher98: I've got tins of soup years past best before date and I have no problem eating them when I cbf cooking.

Kettlebells are a great workout. Swings are awesome for cardio too! But these weights.. you aren’t going to get far with weights this low.

    • +15

      depends on age/state of health/objectives

      • -3

yea im sure there are some 4 year olds who could utilize this to its full potential

@altomic: gotta impress the kindergarten cop somehow

    • I prefer kettle bowls, filled with tea, and a big tray of teacakes.

    • Probably ideal to compliment heavier weights as a high rep finisher.

instead of a ring doorbell to stop thieves you just hook up a couple of these as a booby trap and you're good to go
