Gaming PC + 4K Monitor $5k Max

I’m looking to purchase a gaming PC and 4K monitor (prefer curved widescreen) for under $5k. Open to suggestions on what to look out for/what to avoid.

    • for a gaming pc and 4k monitor combo under $5k, i'd recommend the razorbyte stealth pro gaming rig paired with the spectravision 4k ultracurve monitor. the razorbyte stealth pro boasts a hyperthreaded quad-core processor and a graphics card with 16gb of dedicated vram

      • Thank you mate, I’ll have a look! Excited to finally have a half decent rig!

  • I'd highly recommend you hold out on any PC puchase untill Nvidias 5000 series GPU's drop.

      With a budget of 5k OP can get pretty much the best of everything now and not wait. If wanting the best when RTX 5000 comes out, might end up breaking that budget depending on what PC spec is chosen. Would be a beast though. I wouldn't mind a 5k budget for a home set up! Just spent about $3k for a work machine and the 4k Dell monitor referenced above and it is excellent, but not top tier.

      • The best of everything right now would sit in between the 5070 and the 5080 considering where the RTX 3090 sits in comparison to the 4000 series line up.

        Not saying the 4090 can't handle everything now, i have a 4090 and a 4k 240hz monitor but it's not smart paying high end prices for something that wont be high end soon.

        • Yeah I suppose, but if you wait for the next thing forever you buy nothing.

            @JownehFixIT: RTX 2080 release date - September 2018
            RTX 3080 release date - September 2020
            RTX 4080 release date - October 2022
            RTX 5080 release date - TBD

            If the past 3 generations are anything to go it will be out later this year.

            • @Axelstrife: Cool. Up to OP whether it's worth waiting then I guess. And whether or not they want to get started with the new set up now, or have it be the next generation of awesomeness and just wait a few months.
