Was really keen for these but comments on other deals saying somthing about google versions being released soon. Im yet to get my head around it all.
Yeah. I agree. I already have Samsung trackers, but I'll eventually get the Google Find My ones. There are a few that after just released. Pebblebee, Chipolo and someone else.
Samsung ones only talk to Samsung phones. The new ones will talk to all Android phones. In theory.
But… this is not compatible with Google Find my device and Google already went live with it…
Sellers are obviously ditching them because the Google service will quickly superseed the Samsung one.
Not out till September though I believe, so for anyone who needs something prior (e.g. travel), this seems like the way to go.
Samsung have been working closely with Google for some core Android functions. I'm very disappointed there has not been even a suggestion that their tags will eventually be on the Find My network.
