nice deal, kilchoman is particular well priced with this deal, and is a decent whisky.

If you like peat, the port charlotte is a great buy also.

i may be showing my incompetency as a whisky "lover" here, but how does this drop compare to a Balvenie 12 yr old?

  Not wildly dissimilar. Glen Garioch 12 is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry barrels, same as the Balvenie 12. I like this a fair bit more, though, and it is 48% instead of 40%, so quite a bit more proof to play with.

  I'm heading there in a few months. Glen Garioch is not what I would classify as Speyside. It's in Aberdeenshire, not Moray, nowhere near the Spey. I don't think that would affect its taste too much, but worth considering when tasting.

Thanks OP. Kilchomann sold out. Got a bottle of Port Askaig 8 year old and a Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10 year old. A total of $197.80 including a $12 shipping to VIC.
