Smashed a few bottles of this brand new release at home on the weekend with some friends, so thought I'd whip it out here for the weekend! Enjoy!
Region: South Australia
Story: Lakeside is about the fun things in life! Sitting at the water's edge, enjoying a glass of wine with friends while taking in the surroundings and this elegant and refreshing Pinot Grigio is just perfect for this!
Vintage: The 2024 growing season was cooler than average conditions which allowed for good acid retention and freshness. The mild and dry season allowed for even ripening with minimal disease pressure after veraison.
Winemaking: Parcels were night harvested to retain freshness and gently pressed once at the winery. Cool fermentation in stainless stell and followed by prompt blending and bottling to ensure purity of fruit and optimum freshness.
Nose: Lifted citrus and apple notes on the nose.
Palate: The palate is crisp and dry, with fresh citrus and pear flavours. This wine is refreshing and balanced with great flavour length.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2027
