Depends I already have kayo so I see 60% cashback as better than 50% discount + kayo
I might only get it for the Kayo…
Sell the Hubbl.
Depends you come out $10 better off with shopback but you need to wait for the money to clear vs getting 50% off now. you get the disney and kayo for 3 months either way.
That’s $10 for a chip pass from grilld lol
Didn't know that was a thing but now I need 42 packets of chips.
Depends you come out $10 better off with shopback
No 3 months Kayo with that though.
Yes you are correct so it's $10 or 3 months of kayo. or you could sign up for free trials which are going for 1 month at the moment.
sign up for free trials which are going for 1 month at the moment.
It says 7 days on the website.
Where are the 1 month ones?
Also, for each free trial, you need a new phone number which has not been associated with a Kayo account so you can receive the authorisations codes to log in.
@jv: We are on ozbargain most people should have many sims floating around from boost deals ect.
I just went to kayo website to check now it offered me 1 month new customer offer but tried in another browser and got 7 days it seems to be random a/b testing. It says for selected customers and only on this visit to kayosports.com.au.
It added this coupon automatically AP3oNDbAkHb4g if you want to try.
says for selected customers
I call btish… How can it be targeted if you are not logged in?
How would they even target a 'new' customer with different offers without identifying them? The offer is currently only 7 days free trial.
@jv: I don't know what to say, it's random? Might need to clear cookies and reload a few times?

You would need to activate them and keep them active.
There is no way online to change the phone number for the account.
@jv: What are you talking about? You make throw away accounts with new emails each time you want a new trial, I have never paid for kayo and watched the last few seasons of f1 and afl.
You only need the phone number when setting up the account, I can't tell if you're trolling me or not.
You only need the phone number when setting up the account
Not true…
You also need a credit card. I can't tell if you're trolling me or not.@jv: You need a debt or credit card correct. You could use a disposable card or an empty card if they can't charge you they will try a few times and give up. meanwhile you can still use kayo on devices you are still logged in on. So a 7 day trial sometimes ends up working for 28 or so days. Doesn't change the fact you only need a phone number for 5 seconds when first setting up account.
Doesn't change the fact you only need a phone number for 5 seconds
Takes more than 5 seconds to set up a new phone number, buy a disposable card, setup a disposable email address, go through the account set up process and repeat every 7 days….
Would rather just get the 3 months free Kayo…
@jv: I don't buy disposable cards I use virtual ones from my banks. I always have new second numbers going from all the deals on ozbargain just came off having 10 free phone numbers from More Telecom over the last 6 months. Disposable emails there are many ways to do it but Gmail addresses you can add a period so [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] jv…@gmail.com all go-to the same inbox but kayo sees it as a new email. But like I said before I am finding a 7 day trial ends up working nearly a full month for me.
You seem really negative on anything I say, I see what you mean if it is too much work for you then it is too much work. But from my perspective the Hubbl device is worth $0 Disney is also worth $0 to me so that leaves $50 for 3 months of kayo(2 months really because they are giving 1 month free right now), I would only need to do a 7 day trial 2 or 3 times max to match that.
I don't buy disposable cards I use virtual ones from my banks
Not all banks offer that, mine doesn't.
It's not worth my time changing banks just so I can get a new Kayo account every 7 days.
@jv: Whatever, you can have more than 1 bank account at a time, you don't need to close your current one when you open a new one you know.
For a guy on ozbargain you sure do want to find a bunch of excuses to spend money.
You seem hellbent on negging on anything I say without actually wanting to understand so I will stop now.
I am finding a 7 day trial ends up working nearly a full month for me.
premium content is locked though.
@jv: Sure thing bucko
@denserham: bucko don't do free trials.
Anybody have a hubbl? They any good? I like the idea of the integrated FTA without aerial
I am holding out for them to offer it for $0
I like the idea of the integrated FTA without aerial
no cricket or AFL without the aerial….
it's fine, i guess. I was sent one for free. it's all custom software so the app support is limited and what's there is stupidly laid out.
kayo for example had sports nobody gives a shit about up-front (like boxing and baseball), and that makes a lot more sense when you realise this device was made by Sky/Comcast US and simply repackaged for the Australian market with a cool gimmick.
The tuner is alright quality. It's nice to have it there. The hardware itself is nicely laid out, small box with a very comfortable Foxtel-like remote. Almost like the hardware is made by the same mob.
I packed mine up within 45 minutes of unboxing it and it has sat on the shelf next to the Fetch Mini Telstra sent me as a replacement for my Telstra TV3.
Does it have a built-in TV tuner? Or have I misunderstood?
It does, yeah.
@maybe a bot: Thanks for the tip.
I looked into it, looks like you can't record FTA content off the TV tuner.
Anybody have a hubbl?
In VIC… 3 people have them.
Yikes
I rekon this is just news ltd testing the waters for the death of foxtel and cable, trying to use tech over wifi to maintain some relevance.
I was an early adopter of Google TV until I got a premium Samsung 2 years ago now I just use t he tv apps
Also other then a sport game once or twice a week the rest of FTA is just reality garbage anywaydeath of cable
Who still has access to cable? I thought that was shut down?
the rest of FTA is just reality garbage anyway
I mainly watch FTA these days.
Not as good as this offer I received recently…
