As above, the price seems good but I've never bought a presale item before. Unsure if I am missing something.

from the item description -
This product is an international model
I mean…it's Kogan…
I was stalking the 7a for ages until I gave up and got a 8a on the JB's trade-in deal thingy (whereupon it became cheaper than the 7a).
The 7a really "should" be down around $500 due to its being hobbled by that terrible battery, and also being superceded by the 8 range.
I imagine they will discount it properly at some point, the price appears to be controlled by Google in Australia through the official suppliers, so I guess it all depends on them.
I tend to avoid anything from Kogan on general principle.
A lot of us got the 8a for $350 last week - well I got for $300 because of discounted gift cards stacking. 7a for $529 is horrible price
Did the $200 gift card come off the price? I thought it didn't.
No, but I sold my gift card for $180 cash
Checked some of the past deals? It was $499 a few times this year (amaysim, JB Hi-Fi).
Considering you could have got a Pixel 8a for $350 ($300 trade in bonus, $200 store credit), not a good deal
Did the store credit come off the purchase price?
trade in bonus did, $200 store credit is 14 days after pruchase. I shop at JB alot so good for my use case.
Kogan is never a good deal. Especially when sold by a third party.
Likely a grey market import.
