            @IpGem: You mean exports?

@IpGem: Me either, but he does drink Bailey's from a shoe

Only imports? He should also consider exports like my friend Art Vandalay.

        • Lmao guys staph

        • Did Greg consent to that?

I have one and the battery is so weak. I have it on battery saver and the phone is down from 80% to 30% with very minimal use during the day. The form factor is nice but I will be going back to a slab phone.

    • is that you Flip5 you have? i thought they improved the battery since the Flip3

      • +1

Same I thought the flip 5 greatly improved battery life… maybe charge above 80%

      • I have a flip5 that I barely use during the day.

      • I have a s23 ultra now, which at 10.24pm has 39% left after a decent amount of use.

Fhe flip 3 I had, would have had 10% left, which too me was more than enough. My understanding is the flip 5 is even better.

    • Definitely doesn't have the same battery life as a normal slab phone. I normally have another charge in the afternoon if I'm using it during the day.

I've had one for about half a year and haven't had any issues with battery life. I'm far from a power user, but still use my phone frequently to browse, reddit, read the paper, send texts, and listen to podcasts and spotify with bluetooth, etc. That's just my experience though

    • @drongobongo

Run it completely flat, until it switches off.

      Charge it fully, to 100%.

Do this a couple of times - recalibrating the battery capacity monitoring like this, often does wonders for battery life.

    Half price rule for Samsung.

      Samsung

  • Aus stock or imports?

    • +2

Grey import, says above, which also means no Australian warranty.

        *Greg

      • +1

This made me feel a lot better about getting the Retravision deal just a few days ago.

  • No Samsung pay for grey import?

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 not gen 1 , moto

  • Will they still work on the Aus Vodafone network if it's a grey import? My grey import OnePlus did not and I had to buy a Aus version.

  • 8gen2 chip is fantastic

  • What is this Grey or Greg import that you guys keep mentioning above?

    • Every Samsung worker in Vietnam is named Greg.

  • I got one on the early sales when it came out late last year.

I like it a lot. The form factor is really nice, although the additional features that enables are mostly gimmicky in my opinion and I don't use them heaps.

The battery is weaker than a flagship but it lasts a good day for me without heavy use. I think almost any phone needs you to carry a little charging battery for a big day out anyway these days lol.
