  • Your site is getting hammered, dude!

    • +2

      always does lol

Nah look we are doing a massive factory build and relocating warehouses. so anything we can put back to the community especially in these economic times then i am happy

      • I so wish you put this deal out last week. :)

        https://www.execab.com.au/collections/patch-panels/products/…

50% off the above product would have a great deal compared to buying the 110-style loaded CAT6A patch panel from 4Cabling.

      • Do you know if you can get stock of 19" brackets suitable for rack mounting a LCD panel (for CCTV cameras)?

I know and have seen this done.

        • +1

are they the ones that bolt onto the front of the rack or are you looking for a recessed one?

          • @execab:

are they the ones that bolt onto the front of the rack

Yes. Bolting onto the the front of the rack is what I am after.
Please let know if you are likely to stock this after your move to the new warehouse.

            • +1

@DoctorCalculon: I just put out the feelers. shoot me an email i have access to a 4ru front mounting bracket

    Got a 305m Cat6 box delivered for $72.

Absolute legends. Been waiting for a sale on ethernet cables for a while.

    • Got a 305m Cat6 box delivered for $72.

Great price for CAT6A. However, they are not shielded.

      • Apparently shielding isn't needed for household use.

      • +7

I am still clearing pallets, shielded in blue, grey & purple will be going up tonight

        • +1

Hello Execab, have you listed the CAT6A shielded cables yet?

          • +1

            @paracaps: Shortly

  • Y'all got any more of the 100M Cat6A S/FTP 23AWG Solid LSZH Blue

    • +1

yeah i will update quantities shortly

      • Also, sorry just want to know if I can use these in walls? does it need to be CMP/CMR etc?

        • +3

All of our cable is CMR rated. Its amazing that all the cheaper brands are not rated at all as it actually is a requirement to have it riser rated

  • +1

Damn, wish this deal happened last week when I purchased. Could have saved $43 :(

    • -1

Do you reckon you could process a refund for me if I send you my invoice? The cable is still sitting here, I haven't had a chance to connect it yet, as I need to run it through conduit underground from the house to the shed.

      • I hope you bought the gel-filled cable which are best suited for running underground.
They are also very hard to bend, which is why my cabler hates them.

        • +1

Thats the one I bought. I'm no cabler but I planned on doing it myself. Just to setup a wireless AP in the shed.

      • +1

send me an email to [email protected] and i can have a look at it tomorrow for you

  • Need some cables for some security cameras, which roll of cat 6 cables do you recommend?

    • 24awg utp will do the job fine mate. if its domestic use pvc as LSZH scars on the sheath easily

  • +1

Bought a whole lot of stuff I probably don't need, but can't pass on a bargain like this!

Hmmm … Just realised I bought grey cable and blue boots! Oh well … something a little different never hurt.

    • No one will steal your cables at the next LAN party !

  • +3

Absolutely banging prices with delivery included can't believe it! And I called to ask a dumb question and the service was superb. Tossing up buying another cabinet now!

  • +1

Are the conductors in your Cat6/Cat6a UTP 305M Rolls solid copper, or copper cladded aluminum?

    • +2

Copper clad aluminium is illegal in Australia. We will never sell CCA

      • Good to hear! There's certainly sellers who do, which is why I check these things first.

        • +1

Most likely those sellers who refuse to share their datasheet.

First thing I look for is: "100% bare copper".

  • Awesome prices, bought a few drums of Cat6 and heaps of patch leads this morning. Will you get anymore of the 250mm white Cat6 leads in (regular ones, not the slim ones)?

    • I have cartons of 280mm which seem to fit just right in racks

  • You wouldn't have any MoCA adaptors would you?

    • +1

I can have a look around i am still opening pallets. found a bunch of wifi AP's which will go up tomorrow and some various other bits and pieces of active gear so who knows what we will find!

  • Do you have any LC-LC OM4 or OM3 Duplex Patch Leads in 30m? How come they stop at 20m?

    • usually the most commonly sold lengths are 20m and under. yes we can make 30m i may have a tub of 30m om3's sitting in the back

      • Do you have LC keystones that can fit in a clipsal style wall plate?

        • I can have a look we did have some keystone inserts leftover from a project a while back

          • @execab: It would be great if you can check for a 30m LC-LC Duplex patch lead and 2 of the keystones for them. If you have them, will you put them on the site for me to order?

      • Were you able to check if you have these out back and the keystones?

  • Cat6 or cat6a smallish house max run 25 meters cheers

    • 6a if your budget allows for it

    • +3

Really very little difference for a 10G network but the upfront cost of cat6a is substantially higher due to many cat6 rated stuff physically not fitting or not meeting the requirements of 6a. Unless you're doing runs 50+ meters. The cable price itself is the cheap part. It's the patch panels, keystones, shielded connectors, crimp tools etc. I say crimp tools as well because many 'home user' crimps are not able to handle cat6a particularly well.

In theory cat6a is more 'future proof'. But given 10G isn't even particularly affordable for many people yet we might be a hot minute before it really becomes an issue for regular users.

      • Having spent time figuring all this out recently, I concur with this. Also gutted to have missed this sale before I got my 100m roll. These are good prices.

  • Thank you, bought some cat6 that I’d been planning on buying shortly

  • What is the use case for a non power home user? For anything from this store?

If I have to ask, I clearly don't know.

    • +2

Yes you answered your own question.

      • 😅

  • Which CAT 6A cables can I use in-walls / fire resistant?

    • +1

Low smoke zero halogen cables work fine and are flame tested to a 30/60 second burn rate. If you require more than that you would need a fire rated cable with a long burn time. However it is very expensive and usually only sold on a project basis due to the fact that manufacturers have moq’s on the product

      • Thank you!

  • Also is the 100m description also the same for the larger rolls, sorry asking as there isnt many specs on the 305m roll.

For e.g. 100M Cat6 UTP 23AWG Solid LSZH GREY vs Grove Category 6 UTP Grey 305m

    • +1

My apologies the web team has been off for a week so no description updates have been done

The Grove 305m reels are a 24awg cable which is a very common product however 23awg is more specced for commercial builds. 23awg usually requires connectors to suit it as it is a larger conductor

      • Thank you!

  • +1

Appreciate the sale! Grabbed a few bits for cleaning up the homelab server rack, if you do find any rack mount fan solutions on the pallets I'd be keen to hear! The one offered is still $110 after discount which is just a bit too high for my budget.

    • +3

it sure is! we cannot sell anything else otherwise big fines!

      • +1

Thanks! Got a grey roll, surely it is pure copper too?
        https://www.execab.com.au/products/grove-category-6-utp-grey…

        • +4

          Yes mate pure copper

This is all warehouse clearance stock as we are transitioning to a new warehouse and we want to dump the stock as we have new production lines coming online

  • nice has that got the spline in the middle? does it actually make any diff with or withou?

    • yes they have the spline. installation cable should have the spline to correct attenuation in the cable. only patch cords are absent of the spline due to being short distance they achieve the correct values without it

  • cat6a F/utp is up got a few pallets here. Shielded with outer foil and drain wire LSZH sheath

  • cheers bud
    https://www.execab.com.au/collections/clearance-items/produc…

    any stock soon?

this would fit nicely in my shed :P

    • All gone unfortunately until next month. I may have one piece left but i think it was a damaged unit i will check it for you

  • that would be great thank you.

  • +1

    • I apologise for the now third order and shipping issues that causes, but you keep adding stuff :p

      • All good mate we are getting through them. Got a fair few orders to do! More the merrier!

    • +1

Does it come with the vehicle number plates? ;-)

      • Haha!

  • Damn the 6a shielded keystone jack now gone!

    • +1

  • +2

    • Cheers!

      • Agreed!

    • +1

He also returns your phone calls.
Very friendly customer service as well.

      Absolute legend.

  • Thanks execab. Picked up a roll of 6a for a project.

    • Your welcome!

  • You got any affordable XLR cables?

  • I just found out that ComKonect is AU made, awesome!

Are the slim line ones available in white 10m/15m/20m etc?

    Cheers,

    • +1

We can make them to whatever length you require we can do a custom quote in different colours yes

  • @execab Trying to decide between the standard CAT6A patch cords and the Ultra Slim variety.

Do you happen to know the AWG rating of the non-slim patch cords?

    • +1

      Cat6 is 24awg and 6a is 26awg

      • Your response time is uncanny. Thank you so much.

I can fit both standard and ultra slim patch cords in my server rack without any issues.
Just out of curiosity, when would one use the ultra slim patch cords if spacing is not a problem? Trying to justify buying these but I can't find one… Haha!

        • +1

Slim cables are just generally easier to work with. The bends don't feel as rigged and allows more flexibility. I can't imagine the wire gauge matters at all on such tiny runs most people use them for?

          • @Yekul: Not sure on this one but some people alleged the slim cables aren't good for POE runs, but these might be different.

            • @RtN: All my patch cables are going from the patch panel to one or more PoE switches or NVRs.
Hence, I thought the AWG rating did play a role here. However, @Yekul might have a valid point. The distances are too short to matter.

PS: All Ultra Slim patch cables are gone.

      • 6a is 26awg

        Just FYI.

The ones I ordered last week from this collection (arrived today):
        https://www.execab.com.au/collections/category-6a-patch-cord…

is 28AWG (as per the spec on the jackets).

It won't make any difference whatsoever with such small distances. :)

  • Bugger did all the ultra slims sell out in cat6 as well as cat6a?

    • +2

Back on monday for the next sale batch once we have recounted all the stock left after processing these orders
