Nappa ones should be better than these smooth ones.
On sale in olive at $109.99: https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/mens-1460-pascal-31004352-o…
Oooh looks good might need to suss it in store
Not sure how olive can look so different. I could see myself wearing that. Already have a few Docs I don't really wear that often though.
@ozbs25: Agreed on the colour difference. I found this one more palatable.
I've found that only the "made in the UK" ones cause the rubbing these days. Even then it's only on the back of the heel/ankle. A solution which I found to work is a spray of WD-40 on the inside of the boot heel/ankle area.
Good hack mate
Good price but those colours… If you can pull it off it's a great deal.
Is this good for motorcycles?
They wouldn't really serve any protective quality on a bike, the leather isn't that thick, especially compared to a proper motorcycle boot, and the leather would eventually get worn out from constantly shifting unless you look after them. But if you just like the aesthetic then sure.
You're better off looking for shorty type mc boots like: https://www.chromeburner.com/au/en/dainese-metractive-d-wp-s…
No. Just no.
You can't just brute force yank a bike boot off your ankle. Try it. But apply enough force and this will come off. Then toes get hurt.
Get some stubby boots like this for summer.
Or the tall ones for winter.Better than thongs but they aren't motorcycle boots which are specifically designed to protect your feet from impact and being ground to mincemeat from road abrasion
Thanks! Ordered my first pair
first pair of docs ordered, thanks op
lets see if i can pull off the olive
Are these steel cap?
No
Thanks OP. I went with the oliva carrara, $109.95 plus shipping - softer leather than standard I believe. Plenty of sizes available too.
https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/mens-1460-pascal-31004352-o…I love that olive colour! UK9 should be ok for me who's got wide feet and usually around US10 or 10.5?
Not sure about those sizes, but I have stupidly wide feet and usually wear US13 double E, and take a doc martens UK12. Also, don't foget a few bucks back via cashrewards!
SIZE 13 SKECHERS https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/mens-max-cushioning-premier…
Will give it a touch tomorrow at the Westfield.
the leather is horrible now, they don't make it like they use to. the leather now is basically plastic.
Ooh if only they were women’s
Ooh if only they were women sizes
Are these still going to be painful and take forever to wear in?
