Did you get all 200+ shipped?

I thought they would cancel if I ordered too many of the same thing, so I did about 50 orders of mostly unique items.

I had a lot of payment declined notices because I think CommBank were blocking some transactions, easily fixed this morning though via update payment method.

          • @TEER3X: You may need to call CommBank as they may think your card has been compromised. Have you used your card for anything else since last night?

            • @ozbs25: No need to call them, you just wait a few hours for it to cooldown. Can always change order to use GC or another bank.

            • @ozbs25: I didn't have to call, it happened simply because I was placing orders in quick succession. I just "updated" the payment method this morning on Amazon using the same card, worked fine

              • +1

@TEER3X: That's what happened to me and things were getting declined. I had to call the bank to say that it was me using the card so I could use it again.

          • @TEER3X:

Did you get all 200+ shipped?

Amazon are very good at that, they will combine them all together.

            • @superforever: I was asking @easternculture if all orders were fulfilled as I believe they ordered only one or very few different types of items

      • +1

I've had about ~50 shipped now

  • +3

37 items delivered out of 43

  • Oh man, the shipping notifications :/

    • +2

i've always had inbox filters for amazon emails to be archived. the app notifications are enough

  • Ordered 10 Ultimate Everyone cards. Only 1 processed

    • +1

      I got 7/7 delivered

    • 11 gift cards all delivered

      • The other 9 just came through. Not sure how or where will use them. It’s a pain you can’t combine

  • Just got a call from Amazon wanting to verify all my orders were me, didn't seem like a scam call. Didn't want any details just asked if that was me and that was it. 1800 number

    • Was that for the gift cards? I didn't want to risk buying the gift cards because I have had amazon lock my account when trying to buy gift cards with a promotion before.

      • He seemed to focus on the gift cards but it was all orders. Suspect triggered by the gift cards.

    • Just had two missed calls from that number

  • +1

Amazon called me from the 1800 number as well about my gift card purchases. Supposedly he was saying someone else was using my credit card? But sounds like a data stuff up on their side. I made purchases of 7 gift cards at $4 each after discount. Anyway they had already issued the cards so not sure why they are calling

Also got a Japanese email from Amazon Japan to confirm the phone call was legitimate

      • +1

Same here. Also got the amazon jp email but don't know japanese so had no idea of the content.

I bought 18 uber eats gc

      • Same

    • interesting for me, only a couple gift cards required reverification, the rest went thru as normal and they werent in the order i purchased them in

  • My multiple orders turned up, by one flex driver, and grouped into 4 seperate packages (4 seperate Amazon grouped shopping notifications, 4 seperate 'your order has been delivered' notifications)

Do flex driver gets paid per package/shipment or per address, as if it's per package I'm sure it made his day easier/more profits.

    • +3

$30 per hour for a block of 4 hours, regardless of packages or address.

      • And what happens if you don’t deliver all the packages you have within 4 hours? Like if it’s too many or whatever reason

        • +1

All undeliverable packages must be returned to the delivery station. This costs time, money, and affects your Flex account rating.

          • @T-man: do some people just choose to deliver the rest even if it takes them longer than 4 hours?

            • +1

@cloudy: It's up to you, but you must stop delivering at 9 pm and return all the packages to the station before they close. Otherwise, you will have to make another trip to return the packages to the delivery station before 10:30 am the next day.

              • @T-man: also What's the secret to delivering fast? do driver need to follow any delivery pattern assigned by amazon?

                • +1

@georgev: You just need to follow the Amazon Flex app to do the deliveries. It optimizes the shortest routes, shows the package ID, takes photos, and marks them as "delivered." Essentially, you just need to follow what is shown in the app.

Try to aim for the night shift or early blocks, which sometimes offer up to $240 for 4 hours. These shifts have less traffic, which can help you deliver faster. This is where it makes sense for me to work. I don't usually do the $120 blocks, as Amazon Flex is not my main job, just a side hustle.

                  • @T-man: And as a guesstimate, how many parcels/households do you need to drop off per block?

Also, do you have to deliver to apartment/blocks? I assume those are particularly difficult to deliver as you can’t just leave it in common area?

                    • @cloudy: I live in an apartment, there is a secure gate to get into the common area and the delivery driver always leaves it there.

                      • +1

@CodeXD: How does the driver get through the secure gate?

  • Anyone in WA received any dispatch emails.?

    • Also Melbourne? Haven’t gotten any dispatch emails here yet either?

    • Yes for WA. About half hour ago

      • Jus got 8 emails 10mins ago.
