This projector has great reviews and has been voted as second best in the Ultrashort throw laser projector showdown in the projector screen website,

Seems like a very good deal to me to get $1000 off as I was looking forward to buy this projector. Goes neck on neck with Formovie theatre which retails around $4495 elsewhere….

idk about this particular model but sub $3k for local stock of a UST is pretty damn good

    • +1

Yeah this model is the incremental version of Hisense PL1H which was the projector of the year under UST…

I recently bought the PL1H from JB via price match. It's a big step up from my Epson TW7100. Currently projected onto a white wall which looks amazing.

        • Hey, what price did you match at JB? We are looking at the PL1H for our house at the moment.

          • @lulzenberg: $2190. Paid with gift cards online.

            • @revivor: Sorry, could have worded that better lol - what store did you match with?

              • +1

@lulzenberg: Easy. Just price match or ask for best price through the online chat. At the time I price matched using Appliance Central when they had a sale and picked it at the Parramatta NSW store. Currently
Powerland has it for $2199. JB has one in stock at Castle Hill NSW.

  • Any current screen recommendations for UST ALR, 100"?

    • +1

I've been looking for a 120in fixed frame non ALR with grey screen. Bit hard to find but I'm planning on DIY frame. I have a dedicated HT room so no need for an ALR.

      • It says that is 0.6 gain, so my understanding is 40% of brightness is lost - is this correct? I want to use it in a room which I can't fully block sunlight from

        • Yes negative gain is acutally good for rejecting ambient light. High gain would be ideal for dark rooms.

        • A UST screen directs the light from the projector to the viewers eyes via its unique surface structure vs a regular screen that will reflect a lot of the light from the projector to the ceiling because the angle of incidence = the angle of reflection. And from the ceiling all that light gets reflected into the room which reduces the contrast of the image on screen. Just go to the link above its all explained including diagrams, and there are videos showing it in action.

The costs of these ALR screens are too much. I'm already very happy with the wall, just the wall isn't flat on one section hence looking for a cheap screen.

      • Did you buy the above link screen? 100" or 120".. Plz share how much it costed exactly..and have you set it up.. If yes would love to see your setup.. plz share of you can.. Thanks

    • I matched it with 110" Fresnel screen. The projection is very solid and good for well lit rooms.

      • How much 110" Fresnel screen costed.. Can you share the luck you used to buy. Thanks

  • PX3 Pro to be released later in the year

    • Looks great, I am sure the price range would go up by 25-30% easily….

Got crazy deal with 98" c745 at jbhifi 3 days back.. Scored it for $2774 with a Soundbar..then went back today when 25% offer with sound bar was finished to get the TV wall mounted..and got that for just $100 but had to buy a TV bracket which costed $99 after using $10 perk..and over this also got a $500 gift voucher which is the current offer going on..so damm lucky to get all this..so if I sell the soundbar for even $200..final cost will be $2774+199-200-500= $2273..pretty damm happyyyyy 😉
