Seems like a decently priced if anyone is in the market for one. Interesting the black on isn't on sale.

Could someone please tell me what's the difference between this and the Aldi ones

    • +2

Marketers are going to tell you there's a difference, but for us users, no difference.

      • +1

Just like how marketers con us there's a difference between AliExpress, Samsung and Apple.

This one's sold at JB and the other one is sold at Aldi
      Hope this helps

I have an el crapo one from kogan and it is pretty good, used one of these at work and its gotta be like twice as powerful at least

      • Can't really say it's el crapo if it's goood. :P

      Having owned both types.

Can confirm that the theragun is leagues ahead.

    • I can tell you that when given the choice EVERYONE I've worked with has chosen the cheaper hypervolt knock offs rather than Theragun - they're too powerful even on the lowest setting

Have this and the renpho one. Massive difference. Stopped touching my Renpho one.

Useful for my recovery as I am training for my next marathon and literally hitting the GYM every single day.

    • Highest setting on the knockoffs is maybe 50% of the lowest setting of the theragun if that makes sense..

    • I wonder this too. Is there some sort of metric I should be looking for to compare them? "Poundings per minute?", "Stroke force?" something like that

      • +1

Amplitude (depth of stroke) and strokes per minute

      • There's also 'stall force', which is basically how hard you press down before the massager stalls.

        "Poundings per minute?", "Stroke force?"

go ask your wife/girlfriend or boyfriend for that info

Theragun spend a fortune on podcast sponsorships and marketing, to try and make it seem like it's a premium product that's worth the inflated price.

Reality is, it might be a bit better quality than what you'd get at Aldi, but nowhere near enough better to justify the price.

      • yeah is theragun pro worth $900 over something that cost $100 or less etc ?
9 x the price, but does it give you 9x the performance?

this is like those dyson vacuum

359 after discount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the 99 dollars massage gun and it's great.

    • Not as great as these though

      • +1

Agreed, I've run the numbers and this one is 3.62 recurring times better than his.

  • I bought a Achedaway Pro 16mm Amplitude Massage Gun, I owned a cheaper gun prior and although the higher amplitude does hit harder, I don't know if it makes that much difference at all to me (home user).

  • Any deals on the 5th gen Pro, which apparently is the best model due to higher stall force?

    $299 few weeks ago

  • I bought this for $299 from this deal.

I also have a Renpho and the difference is night and day. I couldn't believe it!

I need to use the Renpho for ~20mins to gain some minor recovery benefit and I actually need to push down quite hard and put in a lot of effort (to the point it feels like I might as well just use my hands instead), whereas the Theragun is BETTER with just 6mins of use and I'm just hovering over the area and letting the device punch down rather than needing to forcefully push it down.
