If you’re looking for what to spend it on, maybe on the $15 Boost SIM for profit ;)

    • How long can we keep the Boost SIM card without activating it? Thinking to get one to keep as spare

      • T&C says you need to activate it within 30 days

    • oh geez, i saw this post and bought the SIM card already without waiting, we need that "LATER TODAY" banner flashing or in font size 100 :(

and this is after suffering the "Something went wrong" for months, hopefully i can still buy another LATER TODAY

      • Did you activate the bonus? It saying "queue" would also have been a sign lol

Going from past deals this should work with Amazon and eBay transactions that track at 0%

    • +1

I have one thing on my Amazon list right now, and it’s $9.99 aha

    • +6

Shopback seems to have changed their rules around paying with giftcards on Amazon though - reply from GYB wasn't clear, said that only giftcard payment using giftcards bought from shopback will track. Also shopback's Amazon page now does exclude giftcard payments. So best not to pay with giftcard if using Amazon.

      • +3

TopCashback still allows gift card redemption, might be the way to go with Amazon now

        • +1

          Didn't know this, thanks

      • Thats helpful info thanks

      • Anyone know when was the exclusion of gift card payments added? Hadn't noticed it before.

        • i asked @gotyourback regarding when the exclusion started but didnt get a reply on that.

        • It’s recent - I ordered the other day and it was valid then

          • @linkindan: there was a bonus $3 amazon challenge in March and mine failed and they kinda quoted that as a reason .. I saw the updated T&C in early April and asked them when it came about and got no reply..

so you ordered recently paying with gc and cashback tracked?

            • @roguej: May 4th, gift cards were listed as valid and cashback has tracked

              • @linkindan: that's interesting… cos I've seen this in the exclusions since early april:

"This offer is not valid together with:

                Store discounts
Any Gift Card, Voucher or store credit redemption
Other loyalty programmes unless otherwise stated
Promos or Vouchers not featured on ShopBack"

        • Anyone know when was the exclusion of gift card payments added?

          January

          • +1

@HomeAlone: I’ve been using gift cards on Amazon with ShopBack since Jan, every single transaction has tracked

@gotyourback needs to clarify. This is just confusing now

            • +1

@Repstar: Hey everyone! Just a quick heads up about gift cards and Cashback. You can only earn Cashback on gift cards that are sold and purchased directly through ShopBack (both our app and website).

If you're using a gift card you got from somewhere else, Cashback won't apply. Just something to keep in mind!

              • +1

@gotyourback: What about gift cards bought via shopback that links to prezzee such as super swap? And I swap that to ebay gift card, does that count or does the ebay gift card need to be directly from shopback?

                • @CodeXD: I don't think SB system is that smart to identify it. Clearly BS.

It is like saying you can only buy property with the money earned in Australia.

                  • @Neoika: Hey do you know if SB Boost enforces the 30 day activation?
I recall you mentioned the SB CR does not likely enforce the 30 day activation

              • @gotyourback: Got a link to the ShopBack website that says this? I can’t find anything. Thanks

                • @Repstar: Unfortunately no, but specifically for this situation (AmazonCashback) only applies to gift cards you buy through ShopBack (app or website).

Gift cards from other places won't count. ShopBack can only track what they know about, so gotta buy those gift cards through us to get Cashback!

The best bet is to check each store's individual terms and conditions (T&C) to see if using a gift card affects your Cashback

                  • +1

                    @gotyourback:

specifically for this situation (AmazonCashback) only applies to gift cards you buy through ShopBack (app or website).

There is no option to buy gift cards through ShopBack website, only on the app.

Gift cards from other places won't count.

Amazon consolidates all gift cards into a single account balance, presumably on a FIFO basis, making it impossible to select specific gift cards for individual purchases. It is essential that this information be made available on your website to inform customers.

                    • @CodeXD: I think they are answering a different question. IE:
We are asking about Amazon cashback with Shopback when using gift-cards whose credit has been added to our Amazon accounts
They seem to be answering about the case of cashback when purchasing gift-cards (I think)

                      • +1

@King Tightarse: That’s what I’m thinking also…… I think @gotyourback is answering the question for cashback when buying gift cards. Fair enough cashback is only given when buying through the ShopBack app.

What we are actually asking about, is using gift cards for payment when buying through Amazon / eBay……

I usually get stuff from Chemist Warehouse via Click and Collect

    Thanks OP

  • Got to press 'queue' right?

  • +1

Does this work on 0% categories?

    • We will see, I just placed an order

  • Has anyone tried purchasing GC to check if it tracks. Thanks.

  • -3

Standard. Hour and a half and not tracked.

    • The challenge wouldn’t track until the cashback with the transaction tracks first

      • Transaction not tracked after almost 3 hours.

        • Takes a few days with Amazon now

        • As long as you’ve made the purchase before 11:59pm AEST today and that there’s a click history, you’re fine

Some retailers take faster to track, you just have set the expectations too high mate

  • Successfully tracked and reward pending for me after purchasing a Boost SIM.

  • +4

T&C indicated spend "at least $10 ($9 ex GST)". My transaction for $10.60 (which is 9.60 ex gst) just tracked, but my challenge shows that I have 40c more to go and didn't complete. Glitch on Shopback's end? @gotyourback - can you advise?

    • Bought a $10 item from Chemist Warehouse but says I have $0.91 to go.

But reading terms and conditions below that:
      - This challenge entitles you to $2.50 bonus Cashback when you spend at least $10 ($9 ex GST) at an online brand via ShopBack.

    • That T&C shouldn't be trusted in the first place when $9 ex GST is not = "at least $10" but only $9.90 incl GST lol

    • Hey @roguej! Looks like there might be some confusion about the minimum spend for the offer. It needs to be $10 before GST, delivery fees, and any other extras.

Just a friendly reminder that Cashback only applies to the price of your order itself, not including GST, delivery fees, or any other extras.

      • +2

@gotyourback, The Terms and Conditions clearly state that it is $9 excluding GST. This means a total spend of $10 should qualify for the bonus based on the terms and conditions. I am also inpacted by this and my CHallenge and not been completed. Can you please look into this?

Hey @Qwerty50114 could you drop us a DM with the screenshot of the challenge and all the details for me to double check on this

          • @gotyourback: I have sent a screenshot last night to [email protected]. As Qwerty50114 said, term n conditions say $9 ex gst.

            • -1

@roguej: @roguej Could you also drop us a DM with your account details for me to follow up with the team too

              • @gotyourback: hi @gotyourback, just sent you a DM about the same issue with my Shopback order. thanks.

                • -1

@hamalalala: Thanks @hamalalala for flagging! Will look into this via DM

        • @gotyourback Hi, just sent you a DM about the same issue with my Shopback order. Thanks

  • Mine is tracked within 1 hr

  • +2

Anyone else get a random $2.50 bonus confirmed? I bought a 0% category item from Amazon, it tracked as calculating but the challenge is still 'finalising results'.

    • Mine says 'reward pending' but didn't buy from Amazon.
'Your reward will be available once your Cashback for your purchases is confirmed'

    • Yes, got an "Online - Bonus" transaction tracked for $2.50.

My Amazon $10.12 purchase didn't trigger completion of the the challenge because the ex-GST amount was only $9.20 (the comments above suggest an ex-GST minimum of $10) even though the transaction itself tracked with a $0.32 cashback.

    • I got a random $2.50’as well, must be for this challenge

    • Dedication is second to none.
