The green version is 50c cheaper.
Says “lime squeezer” but appears to be the same dimensions.

    • +2

      Lime 6cm x 20cm.
      Lemon 7.5cm x 22cm.
      Orange 9cm x 23cm.
In the product photos not the headline.

    • green one is nicer looking

    These are $5 at Kmart

They are made of some 'soft' alloy and bend after some squeezes… If you are a true ozbargainer that wants to squeeze lemons till the last drop, this is not for you.

    • +3

I assume you mean the Kmart version bends?

The Avanti is plastic. I have given ours (yellow) an absolute flogging with lemons and oranges. I have a high grip strength, and it takes the abuse.

*tip - put the two squeezed halves folded over, back in together, and give them another squeeze. The bottom holes will be blocked by skin, so let the juice come out the top instead. This way you get all the juice.

    • Well what would true ozbargainer use, hands?

Yum! More microplastics lodged in my body …

I am paying $5 more for a glass / stainless steel one thanks :P

    • But this one is mental. If you're worried about the paint, it claims the product is BPA free.

Get a old school glass twist one from you local op shop! Works really well, easy to clean.

    Easy peasy…

I squeeze my lemons like I squeeze my oranges

  • These are good for squeezing lemons. I’ve never had it bend.

  • I usually use my hands to squeeze some lemons, it's generally much more enjoyable for both of us 😂

Purchased this dreamfarm juicer recently, great bit of kit. Good to support local innovation too

Looks cool. I assume the design is easier on arthritic hands?

I got the same from Aldi for $12 & it's the best, can handle any size lemons

i can't believe we were using the old style twist like barbarians for so long.

Got one of these for mum a while back… then another five to share the love (and easy peasy lemon squeezy) with our family

I have had these ones before and they require quite a bit of force to get all the juice out (like feels like you are going to break it force), and their powdercoat eventually starts flaking off. IMHO the "Chef'n FreshForce Citrus Juicer, Lemon Yellow" is a way better machine as it works the same but has a gear mechanism, so you get more juice with far less effort.

  • This sale had it's life squeezed out and is no more.

    • It has ceased to be

  • I have this, its not the best. Shape doesnt fit all lemons, the spherical bit doesnt get all the juice.

It bent/broke from squeeing too hard

  • I don't rate these, mined snapped in half after using it a handful of times.

  • Over 4 years ago I got a "Zolay Lemon and Lime Squeezer" - cast metal, does lemon and limes. Solid as - hand would break long before it does. About the same price as this one - just checked and it's currently $29.99 so not worth that, but maybe can put it on an alert if you want something similar….

  • These look pretty handy, but I'm wondering what the advantage is (if any) over a normal juicer like this one ?
