I have used this coating and can confirm there is, at best, microscopic enhancement in gloss. However, the 3 strengths of this coating are #1- Long working time - You can coat the entire hood come back and wipe it off no high spots no problem. #2- Slickness - One of the slickest products I have ever used. #3- Self Cleaning - With a pressure washer & foam gun, you can do a "touchless" wash every other week effectively cutting back 50% of your touch washes = less swirls / scratches. If your skill level is higher and you have a climate controlled garage, then you should step up to the more professional SiO2 coatings, but if you're a beginner, this coating is very forgiving.
