    A new Chromecast is expected to be announced at Google IO on 15th May 2024. That should lead to retailers trying to get rid of older stocks.

    Walmart has also just launched a pro version of their 4K streaming box with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. That could be the new baseline for future Google TV streaming box. You don't want to be stuck with 1-2GB RAM and 8GB storage in 2024 when you can get better hardware for not much more money.

        I've been using since gen 1. Google tv was ok until the ads rained in. Going to look at a fire stick next

        New model could be ok though but they are notorious for using older specs in new releases imo

    price is amazing but reviews are pretty trrriblr for the two on Amazon.

    both have bad reviews saying problems getting the wireless charging to work because how sensitive it is to position to get it to charge.

    thinking this happens. you put your phone down like 5mm off centre, the charging animation appears then you walk off. but it’s not positioned exactly so stops wireless charging a few seconds later and you come back and your phone hasn’t charged at all. that would get annoying.

    first one is $139?! but I think the one in the deal is the 2nd one.

    have a Mophie charger it’s fine but looks like they messed up with the wireless pads.

    We bought one of these with the sale and it is unfortunately not worth it. My wife's phone has to be perfectly placed and it's case taken off (just an Amazon case) and her watch just doesn't even try. My phone seems to work (genuine case) but it wasn't as simple as it is with my pixel 2 stand.
